I don't care what anyone says. The Osmonds are among the greatest talents of all time! There are precious few acts that can get on stage after 50 years and still captivate an audience like The Osmonds can!
The Osmonds and Jackson 5 will always be the top notch original boy bands of all time....thank God I grew up in the 70s... born in 1965 and still a big FAN of 70s music.
I have a Jewish buddy who works the cruise ships as a guitarist, and he's told me that whatever your opinion of the Osmonds and their religion, they are the nicest and easiest professionals to work with, and his gig with them was an utter joy. This coming from one of the snarkiest and cynical, athiest intellectuals alive.
I've worked with a lot of Christian musicians over the years and they are always the most gracious and least self absorbed. Glad to hear the Osmonds are no exception.
I had never heard one way or another about their humility or lack thereof but I was HOPING they were as you described. I'm not LDS but I've worked for LDS owned companies with many of the employees also of that persuasion. I made good friends there and liked associating with them because they are typically very family oriented as I am. Having 10 children myself, when I lived in Morman country I was always asked if I was LDS. Living in Texas I am always asked if I am Catholic. LOL! (Not Catholic either).
You guys, Donny was like twelve when the original was done. All he could do was high notes. I loved this video. Merrill sounds great. All the guys are so talented. Love all the Osmonds!
Love the Osmonds! I've been a fan since 1971. The 70's was the Osmania period. They are multi talented and great entertainers! They are still going strong after All these years. They are a legacy.
Doesn't matter who came first, I love the Jacksons and the Osmonds equally. There's room for all. I m still annoyed at Michael for the way he messed up with surgery and drugs. It didn't matter what he looked like, his talent was immense
Tina Haigh commendable of you for loving both jacksons and Osmond brothers. as far as Michaels looks. he was fragile mentally and insecure emotionally of his looks. he bleached his skin due to a skin discoloration. but he was not alone when it comes to augmentations
I was born in 78 but thanks to my aunt who was a teenager and loved the Osmonds I’m able to app reacia te and love this song and even though we spoke Spanish and didn’t understand what this song said, we loved it. I have long forgotten about to and it was until yesterday that I heard it for the fist time in decades and now I understand what ir says. It was like discovering the song again. ❤❤❤
The Osmond "boys" are grown up now, but they proved here they can still perform and still look way cool; LOVE IT! Wayne looks like a Mormon bishop with bounce in his shoes!! Awesome!
I really wanted Donnie to hit those high notes. But I wish I could still hit them too! It's been a long time since I practiced any form of religion. Born and raised a Catholic my best friend growing up was Lutheran. I used to go to his church and he also went to mine. Eventually I fell away from organized religion completely. I believe in a simple theory, tread lightly, be kind (if you can) and mostly, don't hate! I couldn't tell you what the definition of a Mormon is and frankly I do not care. These are beautiful people who have entertained us for a long time. I love the music of Osmonds, even the little sister... ;)
Still remember the first time they were on dutch television !! Never the television was on while celebrating a birthday but my mother said this we have to see !!!! Crazy horses !!! Fell il love with them i was only 11 and still follow them👍
Awesome blast from the past! I enjoyed their cartoon show 50 years ago! I always enjoyed the Donny and Marie show, and had a 2 record album of their greatest hits in the 1970's that I played all the time!
My 1st album was David Cassidy; I was 5. My 2nd album was the Osmonds. I loved them. This is a great video and their dancing is fantastic! 3rd was Donny's album or so I thought-whatever had "The Last of the Red Hot Lovers." I think I was 7 when my sister and I made up dance to that and did that all the time. Loved Donny & Marie's show too. A fun childhood with their music. Thank you!
To the Osmonds, if you ever read this, I know that a lot of your lives have been hard what with losing a normal childhood, the constant performing and getting it perfect, and on and on, as you said in the video "Being an Osmond" but think of your entire lives as a mission. Some great missionaries also had hard lives, i.e., Paul, Peter, etc. Okay their lives were harder, but you know what I mean. Think of the good you have done for the Church!
Man since The Osmonds are now retired I only wish that The Osmonds and The Jacksons (included Michael and Randy) would sing all together like The Temptations and The Four Top
What do you know about religion? Don't judge others, lest you be judged. They have a commitment to their God and His religion, they have been putting out great music for 50 years now. ONLY family in history doing this for this long and they have paid the price for fame in many ways, they still insist on bringing music and joy to people worldwide. Public is blessed beyond words for their example, music, love to all.
Also, about those high notes--it had been only a few years before this when Donny was in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and he hit some pretty high notes. I don't know why he didn't here.
Dam !! Bring back the 70"s ! I miss my Rupp Roadster, Evil Kenivel Snake River Jump, Palisade Amusement Park and all the other cool things to see and do from that era !!
These cats look better now that they're older....Wayne really transformed into his older self well - got that Michael McDonald/Kenny rogers look, neat in his black suit...the guys got their moves, sounding good live.
I love the way that Marie Osmond said it was her brothers 50th Anniversary not hers Marie sounded very young when she said that even in fun from Suzanne from Dublin Ireland
+Liane Layman Jimmy never used to sing on this song live. He's standing in the place where Alan usually did. Jimmy's there and Alan isn't; Hence, Jimmy is filling in for Alan.

Me too BQ!!
Me three! Born 63 and still get very sentimental with most 70's songs.
I grew up with the Osmond. I still miss hearing Donny's high vocals on songs.
Merrill, you are a stand out!
They still got it ! What a group!!!
STILL THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS GOD BLESS U GUY'S
I gotta say they still sound great after 55 years in show business.and that they will live on forever because the Osmond brothers are musical icons.
This song had me smiling the entire time. Love it :)

Lol..Religion has absolutely NOTHING to do with music and it's foolish to even mention it
@@BAKER22-l4u half of any church service is music.
I gotta admit, they’re still actually really good

Very talented family. They perform just as well today as they did when they were kids!
They’re still great as ever! What a flood of memories!

Lol..And you're who?

Those Osmonds were stepping on “One Bad Apple “. Love the way they move. Just as good as The Jacksons.

This is what age and time will do to you folks! LOL! But they still are great and I give them props for even doing this.
Also, about those high notes--it had been only a few years before this when Donny was in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and he hit some pretty high notes. I don't know why he didn't here.
I noticed Donny sang his part an octave lower.
What ? You noticed that his voice finally "broke' Lol
“An octave”, maybe 10 octaves! Most singers at least try to replicate the original. He just dumbed it down to nothing
I've always had a huge crush on Marie and i still do
I love the Osmonds so much xx 😘
They sound great.
ONE OF THE TRUE GOODWILL AMBASSADORS TO THE UNIVERSE.
Loved them showing video from the cartoon. I use to record the music from the cartoon on a cassette recorder.
Jay rocks
So much talent. ❤

He is the best osmond brother true leader of the brothers x

They are still awesome after all these years. Jimmy's there on the far left filling in for Alan. Alan has MS and sadly had to give up singing.

The One Above All actually if you look you can see that Alan is actually behind all the guys playing piano and singing
who was waiting till the bitter end to hear Donny go high just 1 time!
Wishful thinking, me too
Thanks I love this I have been a fan for 40 years..

They sound better now then they did when they was younger
awe, love this one.
Donny could have tried hitting that high note. It wont sound as it did when it was originally recorded but it would have sounded better.
I hope you realize he was 50 here and his voice was deeper, how can you not realize that...
My friend Kristin picked Donny, another chose Merrill and my favorite was Jay!!!!!
