- 19 movies where Claudia Cardinale is most beautiful. It is also my friend Claudia's birthday...Happy Birthday!! CC made about 100 films, so choosing the order of 19 films is subjective . For some movies, digitally restored versions are not available.
Most people think CC is most beautiful is a couple films such as 8 ½ or Once Upon a Time in the West but I think there is bias towards her most famous movies. So I mix lesser known films, some which were not digitally restored. CC was gorgeous in plenty other films but I didnt pick them.
Music is all by Ennio Morricone except Nino Rotas Il gattopardo (a blend of the title theme and Angelica and Tancredi). In order: Duck, You Sucker (yes, really. Only for the titles), Guns for San Sebastian, Cera una volta il west (Finale, from Once Upon a Time in the West), Il gattopardo (The Leopard), La tenda rossa (Love Theme from The Red Tent). Of course, Claudia was in the last three films.

I am a woman and was mesmerized by her beauty. She owned that role in Once Upon A Time in The West.
I'm a straight woman. She is beautiful. Stunning in Once Upon a Time i the W. And who looks that good wet in the shower?!?! Very very pretty woman. I bet men loved her mouth and smile. People go on and on about Sophia, Raquel and Liz T, but this ladys name is often left out.....are they serious?!?! I think Claudia is prettier than all of them.
Thank you for your comments! I agree. Sometimes who has more publicity takes the accolades as Sophia or Elizabeth Taylor. But she is very popular in most parts of the world now due to her films and there's as of late, a growing appreciation of her films and beauty.

Besides Alain, Marcello....Marlon Brando wanted to date her and Steve McQueen was close to her. Tony Curtis wanted to (like every woman) but he was told to keep off since Cristaldi was her husband. Even Rock Hudson was a close friend. (CC lived in Los Angeles for like 2 years).

Gawd, what a beautiful woman! What sad song? There were no "songs" played with the video; just beautiful classical pieces to match the beauty of the woman. Sad songs are the monotonous pieces of drivel called modern American pop music.

***** yes, I know that Claudia was born in Tunisia from Sicilian emigrants, and that she didn't learn to speak Italian until she was 16, when she moved to Italy to start her acting career. By living in Tunisia in the 40s, she had to learn French and Arab first. Her parents didn't know Italian language very well, so she only spoke Sicilian dialect in her first years of life. That's why in the first movies she made she had to be dubbed. By the way, even if she wasn't born in Italy and she resides in France right now, she refused to take the French nationality when she was in Tunisia, and she took the Italian one, because she always declared herself as a 100% Italian woman. Monica Bellucci and Sophia Loren are two gorgeous women too, no doubt about it, I love them. I really appreciate Edwige body and sensuality, but she is not fully Italian, she was born in Algeria by a Maltese father and a Sicilian mother, and she was of French nationality, before she was naturalized as Italian. By the way, she is hot as hell, I know!

You are correct. Most of her co-stars and other actors tried to date her even though she was married. Not Peter though, as far as I know.
Sophia Loren looked like an ostrich with short hair. She always seemed rather snooty as well, at least that's how she came across to me. I think CC blows her out of the water.

After watching all of the movies (and based on the scenes you've chosen), I think I like her most in '8 1/2' where she's simply stunning and in 'The Leopard'; the scene at 08:00 where she bites her lip is awesome. How can you say no to her looking all innocent and scared.

I picked Morricone's theme from the Red Tent and yes, she's beautiful in it but I left out some movies including The Professionals, Austerlitz, the Red Tent, The Queens. I have a DVD of Austerlitz now so that should be close to the top 10; the Queens should also be top 20.

That was a great period where beauty, talent and memorable performances were not mutually exclusive.
For me Claudia really came through in Once Upon A.T in T.West due I feel to the contrasting ruggedness of everything the surrounded her throughout the movie and of course Morricone's eternally haunting piece.CLOUDIDOGZ you went the whole 9 yards on this one. When God created woman he must have been in a very good mood indeed.
Unfortunately, the gene pool has been heavily watered down since those days....
