Time for the U.S. to step aside

Are we done waiting for The United States to step up, and for the American dream to deliver? Has Trump's re-election crushed any last hope the world might've had for American-led global cooperation and sustainable transformation? Does its failure to uphold the spirit of democracy and women rights call for a de-prioritisation of the American voice and agenda by other countries on the global stage, to make room for those with a real commitment to change? Or can the U.S. still pull it out of the bag, and act like the superpower it still imagines itself to be?
