Well played Norwich. As a Sky Blue it was a very disconnected performance. Our league form has been all over the shop since April but it was explained away as "Cup fatigue". It was 50-50 first half but the Canaries game management was superb second half. We simply haven't replaced Gus Hamer and without Sheaf, we're way too slow to the breakdown ball. As for our tubthumping anthem at the start of games "We'll live and die in these towns"....I think it will be mostly die with disjointed fwd play like that! Canaries fans were excellent.
Appreciate the comment mate and I must say it’s an amazing stadium you guys have!! Shame it wasn’t full to the brim 😕 Totally agree with your breakdown too. Was an end of end game first half but for sure the key half time subs our end really stopped that and turned it in our favour! 💪🏻🔰 Good luck for the rest of the season till we meet at Carrow Road and fingers crossed things settle for your squad soon! 🔵⚪️
Sky Blues conceded the fight in the second half. Doyle being Doyle, City should have dished it out too, but our dire midfield had zero impact on the game.
@@nigelfisher3756 the switches by Thorup at half time really changed that midfield battle in our favour, with no response from your side 🤷🏻♂️ Great game though and good luck for your next games till we meet again at Carrow Road 🤙🏻
Norwich a mid table team who play a basic tactical press with the cynical strategy of kicking any player who gets passed them, can't see either ream threatening the play offs If we had a referee who wasn't more concerned with his TV appearance he may have put in a competent performance and penalised Norwich properly
I have said we would be mid table this year as we transition into a new style and leader. Not sure where the playoff idea comes from 🤷🏻♂️ We play possession based football and rarely press unless obvious chances present themself 🤨 Ref did not lose you that game, poor finishing did! You created more chances but couldn’t put them away. All the examples of “Norwich players kicking Cov players” are perfectly legal tackles 👌🏻💚🔰💛 But all said and done good luck with the rest of the season and see you at Carrow Road next year 🤙🏻
If you're a cov fan, you're the first one I've seen complain about the ref and opposition for this match. Cov fans are usually fairly civil and will blame themselves for a loss. Very uncharacteristic of you.
@@Orange_Fever the referee was a disgrace whatever club you allegedly follow Doyle should have been booked in the first half and was very close in the second half The Norwich players had a obvious strategy to block off or kick players if they got past them and the referee was inept If you look at the robins post match interview he indicates the same but due to fa rules they can't openly criticise the officials For all of the so called great play from Norwich they had one deflected shot which was going straight to the keeper to burglar the win Coventry haven't replaced hamer in midfield and look very weak on and off the ball As I said both won't threaten the play off places
Great ⚽️😀 match i enjoyed watching the game Angus Gunn played great he made some great saves
