Not having dreams myself one thing that puts me off is that a lot of the things I've seen have this weird fuzzy texture to it (like the boat at the beginning of the video). Which is why when creations are able to do away with it all together they really stand out.
The fuzzy texture often comes from an option to turn down detail on objects in order to save thermo space. The best creators now how to avoid this and optimise in other ways - hopefully this will be less of an issue on PS5
Music and sound effects volume are important as well. I immediately exit out of any dream that blares noise above the normal level. Hopefully MM will fix this so that people don’t need to decrease volumes manually.
Music is a great suggestion and easily foggy by beginners. I’ve seen quite a few levels which are technically good but somethings not quite right - the lack of sound makes it feel dead.
I totally agree with the pre made intros, it just puts me off playing the rest of the dream because you never know what type of game you’re playing Great list guys

Have you guys played my game yet? It’s called Pokémon Masters Adventures: Aldo and the Ancient Egg. Please play it. It’s buggy but it’s my first go at it and I think it’s good.
@@UglySofaGaming to speed run it you can just use pikachu and speed to each meteor then go to the next town to get your shield and a standing ovation from the crowd for your bravery and then on to my best part(probably gonna release it as is) the cave that leads to the boss fight. thank you for playing!!!
I read something similar to this once I think on a larger scale, think it was after the release of New Vegas. You could personally play test your game for 8 hours every day for a year, but on launch after 3000 people have played it for an hour they've exceeded your time
@@UglySofaGaming I also follow these principles on other game makers like Mario maker and Little big planet, using all the tools at me disposal to make sure there are no holes in my design. It's really helped me improve my design.
A while back I made this LBP styled boss fight, (indreams.me/dream/mBNELirNufq) it's one of my first decently polished and play tested games that have actually been published. (6 minutes of gameplay). I am happy with the amount of attention it has gotten, so I have to ask if I should change the thumbnail, title?

Ugly Sofa Gaming I really wanna see what Mm does with Dreams PS5, I’d love to see how they utilize that power

I have it a go earlier, very impressed by the scale of everything. Had a good much around the forest and destroyed one of the meteors!

Thank you for making this video and thank you for playing!
You’re welcome :)
I debug my games by personally trying to brute force and break it. If I can't do it, nobody can.

Good for you, giving constructive criticism. (Both for the creators, and the tools.)
Thanks for the comment, we don't often criticize peoples dreams because we know just how hard creation is but hopefully this is all useful stuff
Good advice. will keep these in mind.
Definitely a good place to start - we’re starting our own project and it’s good for me to rewatch this

I think your cover is good but could be upgraded to amazing. Hard to say with your title might be fine as it is 👍
Love the changes you've made to the cover, very eye-catching 🙂
Good video.
Thanks!
