Beautiful reaction. You are so sweet. Too many people just rock out on Metallica’s music and miss the message. You’re different. The song was based on the book Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo about WW1. It was one of three books banned during WW2. The other two were enemy propaganda. He was blacklisted and destroyed for being unpatriotic. Not so. Just realistic. The title was an ironic reference to a popular recruiting slogan Johnny Get Your Gun. The clips were from a movie of the same name. Yours was one of the few reactions that caught the end. The hospital staff was singing about the lads far away while one in the next room was alone and suffering and wishing to die.
Thank you so much for taking your time to watch and leave this comment, with Metallica I always feel their music has got meaningful messages in them so I try to listen to the lyrics and say my thoughts on it. This was a very touching piece.
@@shockwavereact I’d put a heart emoji here In reply but apparently I’m too stoopid to figure out how to do that in a reply to a reply so just consider this a heart emoji.
When they made this song they werer like 25 years old. Classical guitar (the intro), a powerful movie and amazing technique. They invented thrash metal... their style. The song alone is a real masterpiece against war.
Teşekkürler
