Very nice ! Your mica inclusions into terra sig created a potassium rich sig , so in reduction you got attic black Ancient Greek pots 🤓👍 nice video ! Thanks for sharing
Did mean burnishing process with the terra sig? You can do that in the leather hard stage as well but I did it after bisque because the mica added to it can burn off in the bisque fire, depending what temperature you bisque to. If you mean burning the horse hair on to it, that happens after the first kiln fire (bisque) and the terra sig is added, burnished and dries for a few days. Then I put it in the raku kiln.
****Mistake in video!!! It is grams of mica Not Oz!!****
A standing ovation for this brilliance!
Thank you so much!

Love it! One clarification.. that was oz and not grams of mica?
It is grams! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will put a note in the description.
I would like to ask, if Raku burning process happens when the clay is dry after a week or wet?

Good
beautiful, what do you use to burn?
Horse hair (ethically sourced)
This is Raku ?
Yep. It is a type of Raku called horsehair Raku and I added mica to the pottery too. There are other types of Raku that I would love to try too!
