World of Warships - Unscratchable Königsberg

- As you may have seen in the previous World of Warships video, I was able to unlock this German Cruiser. Moevil and I cruise around and see what the Königsberg can do.

Bo, just some tips ;)
Under your redicale there is the distance shown like hoe far you are aming and a time in seconds. This is the shell travel time.
The horizontal line is where the shell travel time comes in handy. If the time says for example 8s, line the enemy warship on the 8 mark on the horizontal line.
But that's not all!
You also need the direction, which the ship is heading and its speed.
For direction you can look at the ship model itself, but that can fool you sometimes. Look to the minimap instead, which shows where the ship is pointing and aim your redicale there accordingly.
Last but not least the speed of the ship is also relevant. You may not get exact numbers, but in the following you can get an idea how fast a ship is:
There is no smoke coming out of the smoke stacks: Ship is standing still
Smoke is coming out of it almost verticaly: 1/4 speed
Smoke is going slightly horizontal: 1/2 speed
Smoke is almost horizontal: Full speed.

+GoneDownOnMe I firmly believe that this agressive style of play is the best for ships like the Kongo (at least in mid-tier games). Far too often we see BBs playing way too passive...

Don't worry, I didn't see that comment in a derogatory way, I love to see ballsy maneuvers :). There just need to be more players that realize that always staying at max range in your BB in mid-tier games is not helping your team, it makes BB gameplay boring and is highly ineffective.

Königsberg Tip - Use AP on BB, Cruisers and CV. This video does not show what this ship can do, it's just HE spam hoping for module dmg and fire. At extreme range with AP you would hit the top deck of a BB doing almost full dmg, instead you do 200.
IMO this ship is the best tier V ingame at this time, and with the right ammo type use it is capable of blasting any cruiser below tier V with one salvo, and making serious dmg to BB's.

Königsberg´s AP is insane, it can citadel even higher tier CA´s.
My first tier V ship, and I *never* had this amount of citadel´s before. This is one hard-punching beast.
You can shoot ap at carrier's for citadels but shoot he if the carrier is launching planes at you.
Cant wait to see Bo and Cobey in a pair of clevelands, thats a game changer

+CobeyWobey hah YES it really gets time consuming with some ships. The following ships are painful to grind but worth it for the big boy toys :3
Tenryu, Pheonix, omaha, furutaka. After that, excuse the pun, its "smooth sailing" but those T4/5s hurt! keep at it though the cleveland, atlanta, pensicola, aoba etc are worth it the game gets good again.

CobeyWobey Not to put a tin foil hat on, But I got the feeling its designed that way for T5 premium/Dubloon purchases to "help" you through that bump >_> Gotta admit thought the Murmansk premium was worth it for that, I wouldnt get the $100 ships thats insanity and instant buyers remorse. Buy yeah after T4 you feel it bad -_-
+choibacco Phoenix and omaha terrible??? Drop the drugs man! The grind is actually pretty smooth until tier 7 for US cruisers. Pensacola changes the play style and needs adjusting. Phoenix and Omaha terrible... lol!
This game gave me cancer after 5 minutes but I like watching it not playing it. When ever I play I get team killed I've played 4 games of pvp and 0 kills and 4 deaths by team mates
+David lender Early teams and players are pretty rough. If you stick with it and grind to tier 4 or 5 you start to see improvements in the player base.

Hey Bo, is it me or is the Mossie too slow in War Thunder? Because in real life it could outrun 109s and 190s. In war thunder a it can't even outrun the Allison P51

Bo, use the defensive AA consumable on cruisers tier 5 and up! it make your AA do 6 times the damage and makes the enemy planes drop bombs and torpedoes with a wider spread. Hydro-acoustic is pretty useless. I think US DDs get this consumable to with one of the hull upgrades, but stick with speed boost on them.
+Andrei Cristian Florea You only get that from tier 6 onwards (there are some exceptions and the Königsberg isn't one of them). But do remember to equip that, I always forget it when I buy a new cruiser xD.
That Plunging fire is great for getting up and over islands, plus great for the AP to penetrate the decks for citadels. So HE for Battleships and AP for most everything else.
150mm AP at close range, aimed well, can citadel equal tier battleships. HE is the only thing you should fire at DDs because they have no citadel. Depending on range and angle of attack, AP or HE for everything else.
You know the really cool hit/damage box from war thunder, the one they use for the tanks? Do you think they will ever add it to this game and the flying parts of W.T. ? I love that box.
I think they added this kill cam for Ground Forces, because it wasn't "rewarding" enough before or not so much feedback when your shell penetrates the tank or not. It gives th tanker a better understanding of what is happenig and what was hit.
Planes on the other hand already show when they are hurt. For example when you shoot of a wing or the enemy planes can't turn, because you saw his flaps and aelerons coming of from your shots.
That's why I think they won't add the killcam for planes.

+Nova7557 Have fun with Gaijin giving you ships. Things will take MASSIVELY longer than in World of Warships, and I mean longer. World of Warships - BBs take 60 sec to turn their guns... IRL they probably take 100 sec or longer, especially with the dreadnoughts.

Also, the ships probably won't go as fast as 45 knots easily; if anything they'll take about 30-60 seconds just to reach max speed.

... Gaijin isn't reknowned for its fast-paced games... it's known for the realism involved. Hell they might kill your computer once they come out with their version of warships because there's a lot of manpower per ship. Additionally, designing the ships' interiors is no easy task, which is what WG did in WoWS. Imagine in the game if they actually stuck a fuckton of crew in WoWS - no one who likes WG would be able to play at all due to the GPU intensiveness with the crews involved. Wargaming already won in the race against making warships fun. Even though Gaijin's tanks is not that great and Wargaming's WoWP is horrifically bad, Wargaming was successful at WoWS. No offense meant, but I'm just stating the possibilities of Gaijin's failures in making their warship game.
