Of the pre-Lion songs, you've missed "Uh Oh", and there's a song "Alone in Winter" that _isn't listed in their wikipedia entry_ because it gets mixed up with "Hann (Alone)". This is WHY "Hann (Alone)" is annotated the way it is! Also do Soyeon's solos "Jelly" and "Beam Beam", plus her collabs with SM artists "Wow Thing" (with Red Velvet's Seulgi, VIVIZ's SinB, and mother Chungha), and "Dessert" with SNSD's Hyoyeon.
idk if you know the story behind it but they were supposed to debut and it kept getting closer and closer and Cube said they dint have a song for them. so Soyeon wrote and produced it. Cube dropped the ball and Soyeon being the genius she is took in into her own hands, so if not for her who know if Gidle would even be were they are today
These songs and Uh-oh are the only title tracks I listen to from them, but their newer stuff went hard in concert so I started to appreciate those as well.
You need to listen to Radio (Dum-Dum) by Yuqi. She released a music video for it on her birthday two days ago. Best song I've ever heard. So catchy and Yuqi sounds and looks amazing. Sadly it's not on Spotify yet, but hopefully soon
True, they can do a wide range of styles... but the newer stuff is all the crazier "noisier" stuff, and some of us kinda miss the smooth, heavy sound of their older music. I still like all of their work, just miss their old style a bit.
Hann was the single after Latata 😊 The whistle is Minnie btw. Hann (alone) is the first in a trilogy - they did the other 2 after this one in Killing Voice. The second in the trilogy is a b-side, Hann (alone in winter). Hwaa was the third. For the early music, have you listened to Dumdi Dumdi or Uh-oh? And for other early b-sides, you really should check out "Put It Straight (Halloween/ nightmare version)", "I'm the trend", "Blow your mind" and "Moon". Sadly there's no video for Moon. Soojin wearing the fox mask at the beginning of Latata is a reference because she wore it for both of Soyeon's singles from before the group was formed - "Jelly" and "idle song" (the song that inspired Soyeon's name for the group).
What (G)I-DLE songs should I listen to next? 😊
I'm the trend
LION, OH MY GOD AND HWAA please 🙏
