I tested it with my Rino UHF and BT dongle plugged in to that, paired to the Fodsport intercom. The dongle pairs as a second BT device. Press the PTT, speak, and it transmits via the UHF radio. Receive a UHF transmission and it comes through the helmet intercom. All exactly as it works on my Sena, and definitely a little faster to make the connection too....on the Sena I have to wait maybe a second after hitting the PTT before speaking to ensure the connection is there. Interestingly, when the intercom was connected to another intercom, and a UHF transmission was received, it played back in BOTH helmets. So I guess the Fodsport is seeing the BT dongle as "just another intercom".

Hey Keith, I have had 2 generations of Cardo Systems in the $300 - $450 range with mesh etc, but after having issues and no support from Cardo, I decided to switch to Fodsport (V6S). Works great, good sound and phone audio only $70. I bought a second one for my other helmet at that price and now 3 of my riding buddies didn't hesitate to buy the same at that price. Range is mostly line of sight and no mesh but we can all connect and speak 1 to 1. Lasts all day too. I am sure the newer upspec model would be even better.

Great unit, I have one and looking to get another for the wife. I was very impressed with the speaker quality. Like the idea that it also connects to the Rino bluetooth device.

I’ve been using Sena units for years with great success. I’ve tried the Aldi variant, but it wasn’t as comfortable on the ears, the speakers were just too thick. I’ll be interested to see and hear how this unit performs. Keep the great vids coming.
I've been running the Fod Sports FX8 for a while now. They work really well. Originally bought them for trail riding with the kids on the dirt bikes. Have started using it for when I'm on the Adventure bike for taking phone calls and listening to spotify or talking the Mrs on the back. Definitely rate the Fod Sports units 👍
Great review, but i am not sure if you have put an accent on a fact that you can pair 8 helmets using this device. That was the reason we bought it. For the price it is a perfect solution.
You have touched on the KEY thing with helmet intercoms... all your group need to use the same brand. Cross-brand intercom pairing is flakey at best, and doesn't work at worst.

I used cheap Chinese units for years which were generally OK for music, barely acceptable for phone calls & temperamental to get intercom mode working consistently. The price of the Cardo / Senna units (& the fact Senna does not warrant against water damage) put me off those units, however I eventually did pick up some second hand Cardos and was blown away by the quality improvement over the cheap stuff. Now, given the budget price of the Fodsports, I think I'll be investing for the second helmet. Cheers.

Also of note is it prioritises a cell phone inbound call and, a big one, it automatically answers a call after 3 seconds. Overall a great unit… Roland
Great all around review, answered all my questions, thank you. I had a second-hand M1-S PRO that came with a helmet I bought, but it does not charge for some reason. As soon as the cable is removed, it will no longer function. Anyone had similar issues? Got a fix?
Hi Adam, just a thought. The USB C cable that comes with the unit is unique. It is designed to make the unit waterproof when plugged in so the plug recess is deeper to allow the plastic plug end to seal the plug hole. Maybe, if you are using a generic cable, it makes a sufficient electrical contact to function but the contacts for charging are not being made so when you remove the plug the unit remains uncharged. When charging, the large black button show red. Cheers
Great product only issue i had a 3 to 4 hour pouring rain couple months ago started to play up (so maybe not 100% waterproof ) by trips end borrowed hair dryer trick out came good again after about 15mins under the dryer so lesson to me is maybe takeoff during down pours Cheers 👍🏍

I've had a fodsport for 3 years or so. Have to say it does all the same things as my Sena 10u.

Can’t go wrong for the money. Cardo works ok but can be frustrating when it get confused what to connect to (phone or tablet on the tower).

Now that Fod Sport M1Pro is the intercom to have. Sounds great for the money with good range and quality sound and also has mesh.

Definitely a good value unit. Intercom is a an easy option that makes bunch riding a bit safer and now Fodsprts have made it affordable 👌
