Igreja Matriz de Válega, a truly magificant church like nothing we have seen. The Choir is wonderful

The Parish Church of Válega is a Baroque style church with the characteristic Portuguese mosaic of tiles creating religious scenes.
Inside, the baptismal font, in Ançã stone , dating from the beginning of the 16th century , and the main altarpiece , dating from the 18th century, stand out as well as the Stained Glass windows from Spain the the Hardwood ceiling from Brazil.

HELLO. PORTUGAL RESISTED 3 FRENCH INVASIONS, VERY CLOSE TO THE LUIS 1 BRIDGE, THERE WAS 1 BRIDGE OVER BOATS, WHERE PEOPLE FLEEING FROM PORTO TO GAIA THE BRIDGE COULDN'T STAND AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DIED. IT WAS IMMORTALIZED IN A LOW RELIEF KNOWN BY (ALMINHAS DA PONTE) TODAY IT WILL STILL BE PLACED CANDLES!
