This is the metro 6R4 a legend rally car from the earlty 80s. This beast of a car was mid engined, and we tried to keep the same group b flavor as the real deal. Jank AF. what rally car wasn't. A master class in throwing things together with little experiance, and fumbling your way through ending up with something if you blur your eyes just right. it looks mint.

ahaha, got the same issue on my D5 lite, one side is fine the other is stiff xD
D5 is notorious for their insanely bad shocks. Just switch them out for RDX plastic for like 30-40 bucks and call it a day or go with axons/big bores
@@alpin2k7 I jumped the gun on my comment before I got to the part where he mentions o-rings haha xD I have the YR big bores with the yokomo blue o-rings. Might be a different binding issue? Going to rebuild the shocks and see what's up :) Thanks for the tip!!
@@darealkosmo well i had a far distance to travel when I started with drifting.
I also started with the Sakura D5 (sadly a big mistakes in my books) went through the plastic that come in the box to Yeah Racing Shocks to MST plastic (used from a friend) to MST TDA and those did everything for me I needed. But shortly after I got another Chassis, but for a fun project like that I would still use parts of the Sakura D5, just with RDX plastic shocks or even Yokomo Plastic Shocks.

Side not on the orings in the shocks, ive always swapped d5 orings out for yokoko blues and built them with some orong grease. Seems ro work well

what kind of glue do u use for lexan? Mine leaves a lot of shadows
CA glue. the trick is to use hardener spray and to harden it before it can off gass that white stuff.
Fun(?) fact Blucifer fell on its sculptor and killed him.

The mounting of the body as a hinge doesn't make any sense in my opinion. The suspension, springs and shock absorbers are there to absorb the movement. If the body moves independently of this, that's counterproductive, isn't it? Any side tilt should be avoided, shouldn't it?
But I'm curious to see what you are able to achieve with this unusual design.
