One of the first videos I have seen with no dislikes. The presenter seems so likeable, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Marks in stone are called 'chatter marks'; a glacial feature from embedded stone scoring bedrock under severe pressure. Shows direction if movement of the ice!!!

An update regarding the sheath. I just picked up a Grohmann #4 and they seem to have moved the rivets up. So now, the second rivet is in the middle of the 2nd stitch while the older sheath has the 2nd rivet between the 3rd and 4th stitch. Love the video btw!

Great video. I have the same knife and sheath. I agree on all points. My #2 has the overlap sheath. It doesn't make for a fast retrieve but no issues cutting the sheath to get the knife out.

Tilbily I have an overlap sheath for my #3, and it’s great. Apparently they make one for the #4 as well, and a drop in sheath. We’ll see which one I like better. There’s also one that will hold a ferro rod... Thanks for watching!

Your videos are always a slice of Canadiana, and bring back memories of good times in the bush.
Grohmann's are great knives and yours is a fantastic bush/survival/camp knife.
I live in Niagara Falls, On. and I know the rush and feeling one gets from being near waterfalls and rapids, let alone canoeing over rapids and remote lakes.
That problem with the sheath is unfortunately common. I like the idea of drilling out the offending rivet and putting in a plug of wood or plastic...call Grohmann with your solution, they need to re-evaluate the sheath design.
    Thanks.

Sharp Knife I’ve already emailed them. I drilled out the rivet for now. Probably going to go with the overlap sheath, similar to my #3 Army. It is a fantastic knife.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I try share what I can, even if I can’t make time to bushcraft. Thanks for watching.

@@OscarLimaMike :- I lived and worked in the Vancouver area years ago...loved waking up in the morning and seeing mountains on the horizon. Came back for family & stayed. The lakes, rolling hills and now I live on the escarpment with all types of wild life.

You are living my dream. I have spent up to a month alone in the bush here on the south coast of B.C. I love it so much I hate to come back. I get out as much as I can but nit enough for me. Looking for work as a bear monitor. Any suggestions?

I can see myself cooking with this knife, although I like the moras, they are not great for cooking in the wild. Even for skinning deer or moose.
