The covers of both are beautiful though, and I was nearly seduced by Blue Sisters, so thanks for deinfluencing; think I'll give it a miss!

Agree that the characters might seem unlovable but are not we all at some level? That’s why all the characters seemed so real. We all have struggles, often with different kinds of addiction (not talking about drugs etc here). I found this story reassuring that even though they all were unlovable (though why Bonnie is unlovable?), they are all unconditionally loved and cared for by each other. These warm sisterly moments are rare and that’s why they are even more special. It reminded me of a little life. Among all this pain and troubles, moments of joy and love are immensely valuable:) and after reading it I was even more grateful to my parents for my sister😍
Though I think all of us are right because at the end of the day we love and hate certain books completely subjectively:)
Hi @@anastasia1391q ! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the book :) You are right: it's nice that the author included some flaws to make the characters seem more real. (Also, yes, Bonnie is not too bad either, haha, I just think that therapy would have been good for her). And I also acknowledge that it's reassuring to read that love between siblings can be unconditional. I think this didn't resonate with me because I haven't made that experience unfortunately. I also got triggered very badly by the cheating part 🙁
But still - so good to hear your thoughts and I'm happy that you enjoyed the book! ❤
