Old San juan is an island but the municipality of San Juan extend more and has more places, much more. Also, we have 78 municipalities in total, with lots of history, culture and places to see and know.

I did this exact trip in 2018! Backpacked for two week, saw all the same sights! The food is SO RICH AND FILLING one play of food lasts you like 2 days. Also did you destroy your shoes by the end of the trip? 🤣 Cuz I sure did. But my heart is full and I'm going back in September to find a forever home there 😭
That’s really awesome that we have experienced similar things! Houses are pretty cheap there just be careful with the hurricanes! My shoes got really dirty for sure, glad I didn’t bring a new pair! 🤣 maybe you can tell me what other places I could go to next!
I know I'm late but just a little fun fact. The reason why the beach is called flamenco beach is cause in that beach flamencos use to live there. One's the Navy occupied the island as military training ground, the flamencos stopped coming to the beach. Flamencos are animals that are very sensitive to human and nature activity, they move everytime they find an inconvenience with an area and rarely comeback

@@CarlinYu. That flamenco was the last one that has been spotted by the locals, it hasn't comeback to Camuy (yet). This species of flamenco is the only one in the American continent, if by any chance you're in Florida, you can see them. There also in central America and some island of the Caribbean.

Francisco Rivera thank you man! It was my first time doing an actual travel video. Post production I realized I should’ve filmed more. It’s a learning mistake but I do plan on going back to PR as well has other countries once countries relax the restriction.
@@CarlinYu. you need to spend more time in the west of the island so you can see, cayo caracoles, coffin island, cabo rojo salts and many more. Then move to the east so you can see the bio bay, Cayo Icacos etc.

Hi! Great video. Question: what was the name of the nice blue house you guys stayed at with the pool & barbecue (it looks like it might have been in Rincón)? Also -- Gozalandia Falls is actually located in San Sebastián and Crash Boat named after the military rescue maneuvers held there when Ramey Base was functioning nearby (the debris in the water is from sections of the pier which collapsed during Hurricane Maria in September 2017). Yeah the blue house is an Airbnb in rincón! You’ve seen it before?! Okay i didn’t know about Gozalandia Falls, I just looked it up on the map when we went. Also I didn’t know what information is true on crash boat cause I’ve heard different thing 2 different times over the course of 5 years span. I recall there being 3 piers the first time I went and this time it was gone. Thanks for the information!!!

It's a lot more freeing and less stress cause you don't need to make plans with anyone. Also these past few years there's more and more people doing solo trips. I've branched off from my friends and did some solo stuff too in PR. I met some people on my trip in PR and people were very interested in what I was doing. I'm sure you'll have a great time there. Do some touristy stuff but definitely go explore further out if possible. If you need recommendations let me know!

Hey! Planning ahead I see! That’s awesome! I do plan on going back soon but not sure when yet. As for your questions, it entirely up to you and your budget. Old San Juan is very very small and is more city like. There are multiple different regions you can stay at too but you’ll need a vehicle. I’ve stayed at Airbnbs at Aguada and Rìo grande, lived in Ponce for a bit and hostel a little outside Old San Juan. I mainly picked my stay based on the areas I am exploring so I can maximize my exploring. If you have the budget to get a car then I’ll suggest you see what places you definitely want to explore and then book Airbnb’s based on those spots. I’ll have to say the best beaches are NW and SW of Puerto Rico. Old San Juan is great and all but honestly exploring and hiking in out regions are much much better.

Mind you that for this trip I did split car price with 3 other friends so my cost was lower. It also depends on the time of the year you go too. I went beginning of April. It was $270 for a Toyota corella for 1 week. What is your budget?
If I recall there are places to rent snorkel gear on the island. I just brought my own. If you plan on snorkeling a few times a year, I’ll say buy your own so you’ll have it for years. The town you are asking about is Rincón

Are you planning on going to Old San Juan? I looked up available hostel room on hostelworld app and found something quick for the night the day of. The one I went to is the hostel h1 Miramar. If you like one in the middle of old San Juan, fortel hostel might not be a bad idea. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

I only used Airbnb for the trip and it seems like the host isn’t hosting anymore. I’ve actually never heard of VRBO but I just looked it up. I might look more into it when I need to look for a place to stay. When I stayed one night in San Juan, I just got a hostel. It’s an option if you want to experience that. When I was in the military I thought about trying to get stationed there. I would say I would have to live there for a year before considering long term. There are perks of living there’s like outdoor activities and the temperature. Also great for excluding tax for income from Puerto Rico. Are you thinking about moving to Puerto Rico or are you a resident there?
I don’t think it’s necessary. It was my first travel video and I was learning from other peoples videos. It all depends on the creator themselves. Do you prefer travel videos with on and off music?

Next time visit a restaurant if you are looking for good food. I would recommend: Areyto by Chef Jason @ 1950 Calle Loíza, San Juan or Amadeus Rest. in Chardon Ave. Unless you are vegan in which case we also have great places you can eat.
You are wrong. One thing is the street food and other thing is what we eat at home. You will be surprise. Don't talk about you don't know. Ask and have conversation with puertoricans.
