I stole heavy from the enemies using shoot to loot when it was on the ground in comp, made me laugh cause i didn't think that perk would be useful until I started using it more and more.
See, I've been trying to use shoot to loot to pick up special off of picked enemies in PVP, and it straight up don't pick it up
The ricochet rounds gives it an innate .7 TTK up to about tier 6-7 resil. Requires all 8 crits, but thats smg TTK on a very easy to handle Auto Rifle.
It’s a cool weapon and all but I still prefer my ace and thorn

The ornament for khvostov drops from brite dust September 3 I’m buying it not waiting that long the sights on it are horrible
Here’s the thing, I thought it was kind of cool they brought back this thing. Seemed Nostalgic and fitting, but holy fuck this shit infuriates me. I hate this thing with a fiery passion.

surprisingly while also unfortunately this thing only loses about ~6-7 damage on crit at 50 meters which is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen should change its name to Scout, the Auto Rifle
I feel like those 47 numbers for range and stability are just hiding real stats underneath, like a scooby doo villains mask, some pesky kids rip that 47 mask off to reveal underneath it's more like 77 range and 87-97 stability
I was kinda bummed it didn't keep its D1 function. Have it as an all rounder! We've got the Alt Fire Reloads now too! 1 Shot mode have a big scope pop up like on Revision Zero, Burst & Full Auto have a more open less zoomed in Iron Sights-esq that limits that range.
This and red death are I think literally broken like somethings not right. Both out performing to what there stats suggest. Red death two bursts far too easy for its stability stat and as for khvostov its immortal all over again. Maybe there shipped this deadly so more people buy the dlc who knows 🤷♂️

Yk destiny is set in 2014+300 years right? 2014 we find the traveler on mars and prosper for hundreds of years in the golden age then society collapsed. Nothing of the old world remains or so little of the old world. The golden age to you and I is the future. So "realistic" guns is a big ask considering it's hundreds of years in the future plus it's a sci fi mmo space magic Game (:

Why indeed, it had like 4 mil kills this weekend in trials 😅

Haha, same. Of all the content in the dlc and the 3 acts before launch khvostov was what I cared most about and what actually swayed me to buy the (I'll usually leave it a while to see if a dlc is worth buying) but now its meta to the point you have 10 of 12 players in a lobby all using it I find myself not wanting to use it at all until everyone gets bored of autos and goes back to hc lol
@@papaspaulding That is my sentiment exactly. Like the exact same. I wanted khvostov so bad, got it, loved tf out of it because it reminds me so much of the way my beloved Zhalo Supercell used to work, and now everyone in every match is rocking it and idk why but it just makes it less fun.
I feel you, but then again its fun to use and thats the only reason you play. If Bungie made it meh people would prob complain that its meh.

@@andy.jehoshaphat It was amusing at first, but you get enough of them around and all you hear on the map is "PING PONG PING PING PONG" I don't *really* care, but it does get old quick.

Definitely 17 zoom compared to every other 600 having 15-16 zoom. Probably why it’s beating pulse rifles in their intended range

People having an issue with this gun I think are just over exaggerating, your prismatic hunter build I personally find worse to play against rather than the gun itself
Low floor high reward guns will always ruin PvP. Just bridges the low to mid skill gap and is super oppressive asf.
That’s the frustrating part when guns like this are meta. Like Ik ppl hate hc meta but someone who’s bad on the game can’t just hop on ,get an ace of spades, and just fry everything they look at. U just kill everything w this gun

@@xanmarinoo as an avid HC user I think hc shotty snipe is the staple of destiny pvp. The most known guns are exotic hcs. Ace thorn tlw etc. they deserve to be defining in the crucible. Lots of guns deserve a role in PvP sure. But when you look at the stats on khvostov and see how it performs across the whole board. Low skill high skill and mid? There's an issue. It's far too strong. I spend hundreds of hours in PvP weekly and I don't even know how they could nerf it lol. But I can say It's far too generous for the range stat. It doesn't move when you shoot it and it shouldn't be able to compete the way it does. I get it's an exotic but geeee makes PvP miserable. I thought we got away from the 600 meta years ago haha but they're happy to disable Hawkmoon BC it can chain one taps. Low and behold if you look at the kills this week in trials you won't see hawk in the top 10 but khvostov seems to be here to say for the worst
@@andydog35 man look at what bro said^ , it’s not about less experienced players being able to get kills, they alr have easy weapons in the game for that. Its when a gun is so oppressive literally eb is using it and it has little to no counter. it’s not my opinion or anything that the gun is extremely strong, jus look at the numbers and how ppl are abusing it.
@@hal0justcal865 like looking at the numbers it’s pretty easy to see the gun is outperforming everything in the game by far, and u can play the game and easily feel that, I dont want it to be nerfed hard so it’ll stay around but some change is needed to just make it more aligned with other weapons
