I come bck to this X-Mix now and again- and still, the sounds just blow me away. The supposed 'good old days' were never as apparent as they they are now in Techno. What a fcking collection of Techno in this mix. @ Planet Berlin, 89-95 must have been incredible.

Have you checked out the other video mixes? Oh yes, it was indeed incredible. Sure, the passed time helps to glorify the late eigthies/early nineties but in those years the whole behavior in clubs was so different in comparism to today. Music was the key, no fashion victims/hipsters, no posing and no one was ashamed for funny dancing or wearing the "wrong" clothes etc. The majority of people were open-minded toward everyone and everything. In one word: excess! :)
Unadulterated and untainted times. A wholesome scene- harnessed by a freedom that’s long gone I imagine... The music reflects it. As a matter of interest PlanetBerlin- did you ever catch Jeff Mills in the old Tresor back in them heady days?

And I learned a new word: unadulterated. ;) Yes, I experienced Jeff Mills (and all the others of the Detroit posse) a couple of times at Tresor in the early 90s. Was so great. Jeff Mills & Co. also couldn't believe in the beginning what was going on in Germany and especially in the Tresor.
Die X-Mix-4 war die erste Ihrer Art in meinem CD-Regal (eigentlich im Auto :-) ). Zusammen mit der X-Mix-6 (Mr.C) sind beide für mich auch jetzt noch optimal, um sich an die Zeiten damals zu erinnern. Jaja, zerkratzte CD-Cover, Augenringe, verschwitze Klamotten, Strobos und dann noch der nie endende Heimweg mit dem Auto :-D... Gruß aus Sachsen

Yeah! After MTV started to air the 3-Lux- and X-Mix-Videos Studio K7! started to grow rapidly (sales of the videos were climbing up like crazy) and they turned into a succesfull record label. Greetings from Berlin

Zwischen den CD & Video-Veröffentlichungen gibt es übrigens kleine Unterschiede im Mix. Scheiße, von den Veranstaltungen habe ich erst jetzt durch Dich erfahren. Habe leider nur Hinweise auf die Partys im Web gefunden, aber nichts darüber, wie es war. Ich halte auf alle Fälle die Augen offen, falls es wieder eine geben sollte, düse ich da auf alle Fälle hin! Prost aus Kreuzberg!
