Ari expresses the joy and liberation of coming out in a way I've never seen or heard in a song. The part where they open their arms wide at 2:23 revealed to every mirror... exposed and completely visible... singing their vulnerability at the top of their lungs just reduces me to mush and gives me such hope. Thanks Ari for making Cynthia a celebration.
This song gives me goosebumps and butterflies at the same time. Ari’s sound is so unique. I can’t get enough of them. And I love how at 1:13 their smile and sholder thingy was playful and truthful at the same time. Also at 1:47 the little joke thingy they put in there was a perfect choice. I love everything about this song! The choreography, the visuals and the chemistry between the actresses. This song and 'Hollywood Has No Idea' (actually called 'Merely Players' - easy mistake, but still love the song) are my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE SONGS throughout the whole season. Even if there isn't a Season 2 (but I hope there is), I'm glad this couple ended on a happy note and gave everyone closure.
The other song's actual title is Marely Players by the way. It is a shame we did not get to spend more time with Lydia, and Susan (and somehow Nancy) when it comes to songs though. Niahm or however her name was spelled has a very soothing voice and so does the actress for Nancy who's duet with Cynthia is probably one of my favorites. Buddy's song and voice are great too

Hear me out- Ari’s character should have been the main character, this should have been the main love story, and the main story line should have been about their character building an identity in female friendships after being sidelined by the T-Birds for so long by gathering other people socially cast out. Their motivations for starting a gang make the most sense to the story. And their character is the most consistent. And their vocal and dance abilities are the strongest in the cast.
I like that it's an ensemble cast and there is no real main character. Each character gets a storyline and moments to shine. Each character goes on a different emotional journey and we get to see them unfold over the course of the season.
You guys should be ashamed to cancel this show when this is the kind of high quality work this cast and crew put out for an entire season. You cancel the show, I cancel my subscription. Simple as that.

i'm so so glad they let cynthia have it as a solo, ari needed a full song for themselves and it fit the narrative better to get lydia be convinced via a whole song dedicated to her
