Thank you Katie for your wonderful Sezane recommendations -spot on! Thanks to your I bought the Sezane Leontine Jumper Vicky loafers in black and brown. I couldn’t be happier with my purchases. Thank you! Sarah D
I completely agree that all of their releases have become overwhelming. I miss the days when it felt more exclusive. I understand that their customer base has grown and they need a larger variety and availability but it’s definitely feeling less and less sustainable and slow. Thankfully the quality hasn’t suffered. I’m also not feeling the spring collection and am happy for the reprieve. I’m feeling a lot more content with what I currently own.
One cannot go wrong with these wardrobe staples. I have many of these hero pieces in different color ways which I wear on repeat. They can be paired and styled in different ways. Long lasting, high quality, can’t be beat 😊
When every Katie Louise video goes by in a flash 😭 I love the style of the Gaspard cardigan and have my eye on the Scott trench and the attention to the details are enticing me even more! Thank you for another fantastic video and God bless! ❤
Thanks so much for this video, I’ve just placed my first Sézane order and have gone very classic - a Leontine and Chloe! Can’t wait for them to arrive.
This is a great video, and very helpful to talk about Sezane's hero pieces. I definitely agree, and I own a few pieces. I am interested in the Mederick coat in Navy and I will pick that up while its currently available. Sezane's releases have been overwhelming of late.
Love the Scott trench. I went with the khaki as well. I know camel is considered more “classic,” but I think the khaki fits my style/ color palette a lot better! my most worn Sezane pieces are the 1) Scott trench 2) Colette mariniere 3) gaya shirt 4) max shirt 5) grant t-shirt and 6) will jacket in denim. I just ordered the Gilet Ilena and I’ve got my eye on the Paula babies, Noely cardigan, and Emerson quilted jacket 😍 (if it ever restocks). I have a bit of an obsession…
Even though I'm watching this video 10 months later, this is so helpful! I've apparently been living under a rock and just discovered Sézane. I wasn't sure where to start because I love the style and want some classic pieces + they have so much on their site. I also want to stay away from the itchier pieces. Thank you for putting the videos together- they're just a wealth of information!
Oooh I love the leontine and betty! I sized up for the betty to make it a bit more slouchy - but I noticed the fit is inconsistent between colors. Agreed that they do very good silk shirts (I have three of them) and great knitwear in general (most of my knits at this point are sezane). Gaspard was unfortunately too itchy for me.
Yes I think I heard someone else mention the navy Betty running bigger 🤔 I have only tried the Rosewood so far. Gaspard is tolerable for me but can understand it being too itchy for some! Thank you so much for watching and commenting ☺️
I absolutely agree with the Chloe blouses and the Leotine jumpers being great staples. I own two chloe blouses and one white brown stripped Leontine jumper. Sezane is also great at doing belts, they are my absolute favorite to wear and now I can't ever go back to cheaper belts like from H&M for example.
I have the same Leontine jersey and love it so much! I just placed my second order for the navy with gold stripe Colette Mariniere and the embroidered denim Tomboy shirt. So excited to receive them 😊.
What a great video, Katie!! If I make a video like this, I will probably pick the same pieces haha I don't have Scott coat or Vicky loafers (just returned mine), but other than that, we have a very similar wardrobe! I absolutely love Mederick, Leontine and Chloé, I think these are pieces I can't live without. Can't agree more with you, the quality of all the pieces you picked is amazing! Love your picks! Hugs from New York xx
You made me want to buy everything from Sezane. LOL I just came back from Paris and got the Betty cardigan and Vicky loafers. Those loafers are the best! The first pair of shoes I didn't have to break in. I am so mad that I didn't buy more, since the prices were so much better in Paris than online from Canada.
A great list! 👍I adore my Bettys and Chloes and I put my Christmas money towards a beautiful Milo. Mine is the toggle version in embossed brown though. I have the mini Milo in ecru on my wishlist for the future. I completely agree about the Gaia belts...they're definitely my favourite but I'm not ashamed to admit I'm obsessed with Sezane belts in general 😂. The only thing I would add to the hero list for myself is the Tomboy shirt - I have several now, mostly striped, and I love them xx
Haha no shame here, I love all of the sézane belts, would have one in each colour if I could! 😂 Yes I hear lots of good things about the Tomboy, definitely a classic 🙌
Love love love the Leontine and Chloe but recently bought the Gaspard and was SO disappointed. It felt SO cheap and like plastic. Filled in my return in under 5 mins of receiving it.
Awh no :( I definitely prefer the texture of the wool and cotton knits but do like to have a couple of items in that more fuzzy mohair texture for variety :)
Awesome round up of sezane pieces! I def have many of the same pieces 😂 for the Vicky loafers I’m an 8.5 in regular shoes and they seem to only have 8 and 9, would you recommend to size up?
Hi Katie, I have a rather odd question. I want to purchase a Betty cardigan soon. My usual size in tops is XS. However, I have rather large arms despite my small frame. Do you think I should size up with the Betty cardigan? Or stick to my size? I’m just afraid that the sleeves would be too tight around my arms and not give me the oversized look
Have they changed the quality of the Leontine? I tried it in store in Marylebone (both the ecru and navy) and they were such a stiff and uncomfortable knit, boxy cut, and too cropped for my taste…do they soften in your experience?
I’m not sure, I don’t think so! They are definitely not for you if you like a softer knit. For some reason I really like the stiffer material haha, it feels more suitable to Spring/Summer and even early Fall when I find a fluffy knit a bit suffocating.
I think it’s fine if you’re planning to wear with anything high waisted! There’s no gap or anything, you can even still do a bit of a front tuck if your jeans/trousers are high waisted 😊
I love the Leontine and the Betty. I first found your channel when looking at videos of the Leontine 😍 and I ended up buying the navy one and I love it! I also have the Betty in navy and the embroidery on the edges just elevates the navy version so much😊 I agree with you that I prefer merino when it comes to wool. I find that alpaca and mohair sheds too much for me, it's not very practical! Do you think that the gaspard sheds much? Also, did you end up keeping any of the shirts from your last Sézane haul? I ordered the Mariana and loved the print but unfortunately it wasn't worth the price for me and the cut under the arms was too close to my armpit (like to have some room for sweat 🙈) so I had to return it 🌟
I loveee the navy Betty, I might have to add it at some point. The embroidery is so pretty. The gaspard doesn’t shed too much in my opinion. I find it kind of an in between, definitely doesn’t shed as much as the Lya I have on in this video.
Also no I didn’t. I did like both of them but I’m trying to only keep pieces I’m completely in love with so decide to send both back! It’s hard though 😅
@@katie_louise I might have to add the Betty in another colour at some point! And maybe I need to try the Gaspard too. I got the Lya in blue but had to return it as it was shedding too much for my liking. I have the Lyna in raspberry and I might have to add it in black whenever it's back in stock as it's one of my favourite jumpers. Ahh I know it's so hard to send back lovely pieces when they're not perfect! But it's definitely good that you sent them back when you weren't 100% sure on them 😊
I think the talking is interesting because there are a few pieces I want to buy and I find Katie’s descriptions /sizing and fittings very helpful . You can always skip the chapters of the topic you are not interested in

Such GREAT comparisons! Allllll soooo lovely! Especially the *luxdups* tote. Their styles are so chic, sleek, elegant and understated!

I LOVE my gaspards and betty. And I have been wanting a leontine. Yes, these are sooo good 🥰
Ahh you’ll love the Leontine! Such a classic 🥰

Agreed! They are worlds apart aren’t they? 💕
Your videos harken back to the 2010 era of RUclips reviews. Simpler times which I loved. Reminds me of Essie button and her peers
Haha, Awh thanks!
Wore the Chloe in rosewood today and got so many compliments it’s gorgeous!
Awh it's such a beautiful blouse!

They are so good!! I’m in Paris now and just want to buy the whole store haha 😅
I recently went thrifting for the first time and found a brand new looking leontine in a brown color!!! I feel so lucky!
Omg amazing find!! I've never found Sézane in a real life thrift shop, only online. Incredible :)

It’s from Nordgreen: bit.ly/3MrF1SW

I think size up! I’d generally recommend you size up if you’re between sizes for the Betty. It runs a bit smaller than a lot of sezanes other knits.
@@katie_louise did you purchase your usual size? Are the sleeves roomy or they’re fitted?
@@nedamoosaviani I went with a medium which is my usual size, but could also do a large. The sleeves are more on the fitted side
@@katie_louise thank you Katie that was very helpful. I have been binge watching your videos ❤️
Ty - a really good video :D

Discovering this video very late, I am considering a new trench coat, do you have any thoughts on the Clyde?
I love the Clyde, I have the khaki, would still choose the Scott though if I could only have one!

Just for comparison purposes can you share your measurements ? I’m 5’5 and between sizes sometimes small sometimes medium and anywhere from 0-4
Sure I'm 5'5, usually wear a US 6/8 on top and a 8/10 on bottom. My measurements are 34", 30", 43" :)
@@katie_louise thank you so much! Might try to visit the NYC store soon!
Hi did you get your usual size on the Scott trench coat? ❤
Yes I got a 38 :) it fits pretty true to size in my opinion 💕
is the the Lya sweater oversized? I am currently looking at it online :)
I would say it comes up a bit big yes! I’d go down a size 😊

Good question! They run a little big, so if you’re between sizes go for the smaller one. You might want to order two sizes to be safe!
