My 92 year old mother has stage 4 Alzheimer's. She is fiercely independent and extremely unsociable to the point of reclusion. We have tried to encourage her to socialise by getting her to join local groups and clubs, but she refuses to continue any associations and remains at home. Mother's outings are now limited to a weekly shopping trip with my brother and perhaps a visit to a coffee shop. She does not listen to the radio during the day, nor watch television until the evening. Her days are spent reading the paper, moving around her small bungalow, falling asleep and looking for things to do. She does not enjoy family visits because she is unable to hear conversation, keep up with it or respond sensibly. Mother is declining weekly but refuses to admit defeat. We, her family have to endure her forgetfulness, repetition and constant neediness every single day.
My dad's in stage 5 dementia. He keeps getting aggressive at me, my mum and my sister, keeps getting lost to the toilet and finds walking really hard. He's been in a care home since April after he fell down the stairs while trying to get to the toilet at 3am, and he's still getting aggressive towards nurses, throwing stuff around and not getting much sleep in the night. He's always said he doesn't wanna be a burden on anyone, 10 years ago if you showed him what he'll be like now he would've taken an overdose a while ago. And I'm 14, so he's had a huge impact on my childhood
@@robloxman274abc I have the greatest sympathy for you because if my 94 year old mother could understand and see how she has deteriorated over the years, she would be appalled. Sadly, mother is now in hospital after a fall and on a ward waiting to be assessed after several tests. Her final destination will be a Care Home because she is totally incapable of looking after herself after 32 years of living on her own. I wish you all the best for the future and share your dilemma.
Isn’t it curious how people will return to the mall or shopping center to purchase Stuff before exposing themselves to a full-on social engagement…? 🤔 🤷♀️ 🫤 🛒
Im a 75 year young caregiver with a company. You do need to be concerned. Buy a long term policy at 60. This Dementia is tough on the family. Tough enough you have to watch your loved one slowly decline then it becomes financial. I’m grateful I’m healthy .

My Sister, rang me and told me to go visit her in Hospital. 😐 Due, to my hectic and busy life I cannot give HER the support she need's. Because it was written there for us . To Guide all humanity. Thru these hard times. These final days. He will clean the earth of all things that make it miserable. And those who trust him and have faith . And obey his law. Will live in that new world. Jehovah God Promises. Everything that's written in his word the Bible has allready taken place. Only a few things left. And they are beginning to take place as we speak. Look for him and you will find him. He is our father our friend. He is there to listen to our prayers. Like that friend that we knock at their door or call. And we say I need your help. He knows what we need. But we need to look for him trust him love him. We need to believe. We need to stay away from all the worldly things this life has. All the bad things. And be loving humble respectful. Human beings. And above all serve our heavenly father. JEhovah And he's Son Jesus Christ.

It sounds like your passively complaining about it, of course she’s not going to be social able if she can tell your not being genuine
