I think when I hear people say he has skating issues they either haven’t watched him or they are confused by the fact that he is always in good position so he doesn’t have to constantly hustle. When he has to he can skate and his edge work and balance are great. Speed is not the only thing that goes into skating and he will get better at all these aspects. Top notch player. Gonna kill the NHL.
@@mtlhabsss oh yes they will , he is signed until 25-26 and will be 21 years old at his nhl entry contract in 2026 , wich will cost 950 000$ per season until he turn 24 years old .
Delusional? His father turned up dead after trying to get his son out of his KHL contract, which runs for another 3 years. There's no guarantee Michkov will ever be able to come to the NHL. The Flyers signed Ivan Fedotov, only to have him taken into Russian custody, put on trial and sent to a Russian military outpost.
@@hiisigobli4612 Yes, there's no guarantee any of these players will live up to expectations. Then there's Joe Pavelksi - drafted something like 207th, and he might end up in the Hall of Fame
@@hiisigobli4612Yakupov wasn’t even remotely close to Michkov in terms of prospects. Michkov is being called generational talent, Yakupov went in a super weak draft class
He straight up told other clubs if they drafted him he wouldn't come to North America 😂 He's also refusing to show up for Flyers training camp, why would a professional team waste a pick like that?
Of course being a Russian sniper at this level he will draw comparisons to Ovi as well he should. Always thought what made Ovi the player he is, is that nasty "Messier" type edge he has to his game. Will be 😎 🆒️ to see this kid develop, but certainly seems to be a can't miss prospect at this point.

He better be left at pick 5 and Kent Hughes better take him.
Not to kill your vibes guys but I truly believe montreal will not draft mitchkov. ( monumental mistake )

@@jf5-mars334they didn’t, thanks so much Kent Hughes!

That fact some hockey “ executives “ “ experts “ think it’s a good idea not to draft this kid in the top 3 it’s literally delusional
