Regulus? Objectifying women? That’s just an attack on his character, pure and simple. An act of defamation by those too blind to understand his unwavering sense of fairness. He’s only ever claimed what’s rightfully his, never asking for more than his due. To accuse him of anything less than respect is nothing short of slander and, by extension, a violation of his rights.
The first time Subaru met Typhoon she casually shattered him to pieces to test him. I assume she was just going around testing people all across the world when she was alive. Leaving a trail of death everywhere she went.
When the rabbits ate subaru, i think the light novel said (i may be misremembering) that they ate all of his nerves and stuff right up until the point he could ho longer feel, hear or see anything, he still didnt die after this, he was still alive right up until they bit into his brain which killed him. Also this is the only death so far in the anime that actually broke his mind. He couldn't get over the death until echidna saved his soul by bringing him into her tea party.
The Sin Archbishops (and Aldebaran) are named after stars. In fact, the name of this arc is “The Stars That Engrave History”. For all the other Sin Archbishops, it’s their first name that’s a star name (Regulus, Sirius, Capella, Betelgeuse) but for Gluttony it’s their last names (Batenkaitos, Alphard). Those two Witch Cultists are regular members. There are no Sin Archbishops for Envy, Vainglory, Melancholy or Pride. The former three have no seats at all, and the seat of Pride is vacant. They are far stronger than the average member, however, and it’d probably be best to flick through this episode and look at Wilhelm’s reactions to both the man and the woman, as well as that wound. The information about the Witches’ deaths was given in the narration for Arc 4’s tea party chapter “after the guests have left” (so once Subaru and Satella leave the castle of dreams). The idea that Satella killed the other Witches is not true, with the sole exception of Minerva. Minnie was said to be lured into a trap by an unknown individual where a group of elves were being harmed. She went insane and Satella put her out of her misery; that might’ve been the point where she lost control and the Witch of Envy took over. Minnie was always close with the elves, which also makes her a prime candidate to be Emilia’s mom (which season 2 alluded to when they met) since Emilia’s father has to be an elf and her mother has to be a human witch.
My argument for why Rabbit Death still ranks above all of them: Rabbit death permanently broke Subaru, Infinite Fear death didn't. Of course, Echidna pulled him in and gave him the magic tea so his soul wouldn't chatter, but he was able to cope on him own for this one. And also, Subaru did not go into shock during the Rabbit scene, his brain deliberately refused to dissociate, cope or go unconscious from the pain, he felt it vividly until the rabbits ate his brain, which by irony of fate was the last thing the rabbits set their sights upon.
About Capella's sin, lust is not always means being hot. I am not sure about English but in other languages "lust" is also used when someone is really against the moral principles(or church principles) or desecrating what is sacred. In Darksiders 3 "Lust" was a necromancer because tempering with the dead considered as sometihng immoral. Capella is a living incarnation of Lust in that sense, she is mockering the royal family by taking their name(and the royal family is something very important for many people in Lugunica, we are in midages after all) and also she took the form of a dragon(sacred for the people of the dragon kindom).
The quote about the witches is part of a narrative exposition. Basically, the author wanted to give us more lore details without making characters discuss it. "Satella was driven mad because of the Witch Factor; Minerva died of insanity, caught in a trap; Carmilla perished in a sea of flames; Daphne wasted to death amid an ocean of sand; Typhon drowned in a flood; Sekhmet fell down the Great Waterfall as she rained destruction upon the Dragons; Echidna collected their souls, remaining bound to the present world by soul alone. "
I believe Echidna said in episode 3 of Season 2 that Typhon judged criminals one after the other with the youthful innocence and cruelty of child, and when she used her powers on Subaru, she ripped his arm off to see if he would feel pain which he didn't meaning he was a good person, but then he broke to pieces meaning he saw himself as a sinner even though he was a good person, and then Minerva put him back together. It seems to me like Typhon just judged everyone, so I'm pretty sure there was plenty of reason for people to want to kill Typhon.
My theory is that they want the Typhon corpse to get the pride witch factor from it. The pride archbishop was missing after all, maybe the reason was that nobody could reach the pride witch factor
That’s certainly possible, however there was a Sin Archbishop of Pride four decades before the main story. He never demonstrated usage of an Authority, however he casually affirmed that he had one and was awarded the seat. Furthermore, Tappei stated that there were other Sin Archbishops before, and that by default has to exclude Sloth, Greed and Wrath due to the fact they’ve held their positions the longest, and should also exclude Gluttony since Tappei stated it was a vacant seat for a very long time. That would suggest the rotating seats over the last 400 years must have been Lust and Pride. Since we already know there was a Sin Archbishop of Pride before, and since it’s very possible there were others before him, it’s not so much that the Witch Factor is inaccessible, moreso that it was lost upon Stride’s death.
@@m.ostrowski2031 What's giving the notion that Sirus has been wrath for a long time? Besides maybe being Fortuna, really nothing saying she had the authority for as long. Unlike Sloth and Greed with the 150y flashback. My bad if its stated early in the LN, anime only.
@@WolfKingTheKid Tappei stated that Petelgeuse, Regulus and Sirius are different from the rest and have held their seats for a very long time in one of his Q&A’s. That’s also where the information about the seat of Gluttony being vacant for a long time comes from. “Q: How often do archbishops get replaced over time? Petelgeuse seems to have been serving a long time, Regulus and Sirius seem to have been there since at least a hundred years ago… Have the rest of them also been alive for over a century? Really, the average age is pretty high in this old folks club. A: They’re replaced if they die. Sometimes positions are left empty for a while as well; Gluttony’s seat was vacant for a long time, for example. Petelgeuse has been there pretty much from the start, so the rest have changed frequently while they’ve been bothering the world. Some have died of old age, but Petelgeuse, Regulus, and Sirius are special. Their long lives are related to their authorities.”
@@WolfKingTheKid Should also be noted that it’s impossible for anyone to have held at least the seats of Sloth and Greed before Petelgeuse and Regulus, because their Witch Factors were stored in boxes made from the Sage’s Bones. Geuse said it had been entrusted to him by Flugel, who lived 400 years ago, and Regulus recognised the box because he got his Witch Factor from one too. It’s likely they were collected from the dead Witches, just as how Echidna manually collected their souls when they died. While we can’t know for certain that there wasn’t a Wrath before Sirius, since she is singled out alongside Regulus and Petelgeuse and said to have held her seat for a long time, it’s likely that there wasn’t one before her either. And with Gluttony having been vacant for ages, it’s only the seats of Lust and Pride that could have been rotating.
27:46 Ram and Garfiel is a dead ship Ram loves Roswaal (he doesn't deserve her) and Garfiel moved on from his crush on her, meanwhile Mimi likes him and he likes her too they are also the same age unlike him and Ram (Ram is 18 and Garfiel is 15)
I mean, that’s never actually been stated. Not in the anime or the books. Garfiel hasn’t stopped liking Ram to my knowledge, he’s just not pushing the issue, which he already stopped doing towards the end of Arc 4. I fully agree that Ros doesn’t deserve Ram though, since she’s way too good for him; she looks out for him and what’s actually the best for him (rather than what he believes is the best) and he treats her like a pawn. In the year since Arc 4, he still hasn’t changed enough to be someone worthy of Ram, and would need way more character development to even be a viable partner for her. I’m not even sure that man is capable of truly loving anyone other than Echidna after 400 years of being like this, and it’d be a rather dark end for Ram if she doesn’t succeed in making him a better person or just move on from Ros.
Waifu is just the Japanese word for wife. It became a meme in the Japanese weeb community, but when English weebs heard the word they didn't know it was a meme so they started calling their favorite anime girls waifu
@MobscastBlackOut tsuma is the word for wife, but it has a sexist weanig, so most young japanese people started saying wifu in the late 90s, but an anime said waifu instead of tusma which became a big meme so now most japanese people say tusma instead of wifu. But it is still a japanese word
Baten Kaitos is a star inside a constellation called cetus which means "Whale". Alphard is a star inside a constellation of Hydra. Hydra is kinda similar to snake. Now lets remember the 3 great mabeast, White Whale, Great Rabbit, and Black Snake.

CR mistranslation errors:
36:26 Capella actually says “I’ll start by turning…” not “slicing”.
38:12 Al actually says, “So typhon was drowned, eh?
Damn this subs is really annoying, that line by Al would been better if it was said like this.
I believe Al said "So this is where Typhon drowned, huh?"
In the novel at least

I love how you actually get invested into the show, seeing your reactions make it all the more satisfying 😁
Additional fuel to the "Subaru and Julius should bang" fire
I love your reaction to the virginity part XD
