I have 2 boys, 21 and nearly 18. The first was 8 months IV fluids, bedrest and I had hyperemesis the whole time, and a crushed gall bladder. He was 36 weeks, 3 lbs and we learned a lot. My 2nd son was normsl, but at 27 weeks, someone hit my car, leaving the OB. He was 28 weeks and I was in hospital a week, in trandelenburg (butt in the air!) He was 28.9 weeks, 2 lbs and was like a Jaguar... great car, always in the shop. Today, he is taller than me, an amazing photographer, and teaches me how to pivot and go with changes all the time. Whatever steps along the way that happen, you will get through. The learning curve is massive.

I had placenta previa in 1984, and was in hospital for three months. The placenta moved up with the growing uterus, and the placenta and the baby was out of harms way. I didn’t have placenta previa but I did have preterm labor starting at 5 mo. Open and shortened cervix. I was hospitalized (with the hospital bed inverted!) for almost 2 mos until baby was over 28 weeks. I got the betamethasone shots to help his lungs developed. Then full bed rest til I went into labor. It was hard and taxing but I thought of it as a job to get my baby to viability. It did work out, he was not full term but very close. His 26 birthday is next month. Sending you good thoughts! 😊

I understand the fear. I've lived it. I tried to get pregnant for 10 years and when I finally did I was paralyzed with fear that something would happen before I could get the kid born. I did NOTHING for 9 months. Then one day my boss asked me to help her move a desk. I practically laughed in her face. I absolutely REFUSED. I was 7 months pregnant. I finally had my son AND THEN I was terrified of SIDS. I was so afraid of losing him I couldn't even fully love him because that loss would have killed me too. My son was 4 years old before I felt safe enough to give him my entire heart. Of course I did everything right up until then, but I always held back. That fear of losing him overwhelmed me. He knows all this now. He's 23. He knows exactly how much I love him. My point in telling you all this, is it's scary being pregnant. The whole goal in parenthood is keeping your kids alive and it starts in the womb. Stay off your feet. Let Alessio do everything. Don't feel guilty about it. Don't bend. He's right. Keep your feet up on pillows. Use gravity to push the placenta away from your cervix. You can do this, Jess. We're all cheering you on! ♥️

Fear can be such trouble .
I’ve dealt with fear through my life as well and an encouragement and truth is to invite the good Lord God who created this world and who cares for us he can help us in any of these situations. If we invite him and his help we can get through even when it’s hard.
Fear can be an issue but with God he can help you through it.

Consider your new JOB is to get your baby as far as you can! Follow dr orders, don’t cheat! I have empathy for you and husband, we had a BIG cry at about my 25wks, “This is getting really old!” I made it to a planned c-section delivery at 39wks. My baby girl is now 22! This last pregnancy really strengthened my faith!

A RUclipsr I used to watch from Mexico, had to stay in the hospital for a month and a half when she was around 25 weeks pregnant because her cervix had dilated, they had her to make sure she reached at least 32 weeks but they couldn’t stop baby until there, she came at 31 weeks and now she is two years old, and an adorable toddler. If it’s necessary to stay in the hospital, then don’t be scared, there’s no better place to feel safe with a pregnancy than there.

I commented when you were first diagnosed. I was diagnosed with Placenta Previa at 20 weeks with twins. Second episode at 21 weeks and hospitalized for the duration. At 29 weeks it happened again and they were delivered. They were fine and only needed to learn how to eat and breathe at the same time and grow. They came home 3 weeks later. They turned 31 last month. It's a very scary experience so listen to your Dr and try to relax as much as possible. You've got this!!

What you are saying is absolutely right…rest and calm and positive thinking. I know it’s scary. I’m a nurse and a healer my whole adult life. Stay focused and diligent-try to let the anxiety go. My prayers sent to you all three.

PS: I discovered that I was expecting my 2nd daughter 19 years after my first. It was a shock - but the greatest blessing of my life !
At 14 weeks I was at work (European Parliament in Brussels) and started spotting.
I got on the next train back home (in southern Belgium an hour away) and immediately went to the ER.
I was put on progesterone and was perfectly fine. I gave birth 2 days overdue at 44 years of age. My now 11 year old is perfectly healthy and smart as a whip !

My nephew's wife had a condition called Vasa Previa where fetal blood vessels cross near or on the cervix. Extremely dangerous. She had a MAJOR bleed at 20 weeks, to the point where they thought she was losing the baby and nephew ended up calling 911. They're both physicians so for them to call 911 shows how serious the bleed was. She was in hospital on bed rest for about a month, came home for a week or two then was admitted again for bleeding. For the remainder of the pregnancy she was an in patient on total bed rest. Ended up delivering (by c-section) a healthy baby girl at 30 weeks. Fortunately they'd been giving shots to speed up lung maturity. Even though the baby was 10 weeks early and weighed 3 lbs. 1 oz. she only needed supplemental oxygen for the first couple days. She was small but otherwise healthy. Complications in pregnancy are so scary but with proper treatment can end happily. Hang in there Jessi & Alessio, a lot of people are rooting for you and your baby boy!!

I had complete placenta previa 35 years ago. I needed to lay flat and wasn't supposed to lift anything. I hemorrhaged several times up to giving birth 9 weeks early. My baby spent 9 weeks in the hospital. Please listen to your doctor and take all precautions.

Jessie, keep on resting as you did before!
I had a Placenta Prevea in week 10 with bleeding. Because of that I was hospitalized until week 28. I was at home for less than a week and started bleeding again. Back into hospital til week 32. Then I was one week at home and my water broke. Back into hospital again. Then, after two days, I would have preeclampsia and my son would be delivered by C-section. To cut a long story short: He is 22 years old and healthy and studying at a university right now.
Don't worry too much! I am sure you will make it to week 28 and even further. Being hospitalized is not as bad as you might think. I read a lot in hospital. Since I am German the health insurance paid for all expenses. In the US that might probably be a different story. But your main concern is surely the health of baby Pasini.
All the best for you all!!! Your story will end with ... and they lived happily ever after. ❤

    Just a little suggestion....
Maybe friends/family could come sit with you for a few hours every so often to give Alessio a little break.
I know he wants to be with you every second, but he also needs a break sometimes as well, even if it's just a couple of hours at a time. Him being able to clear his head so that he can come back stronger and more focused is important too. He's a really good man, and he married an amazing woman. God bless you both!!
I pray that the remainder of your pregnancy will go smoothly and without any more complications. ❤
Blessings to your little family. ✨️ 💛 🙏

Beat me to it. Alessio is trying his best, and doing a great job on all fronts. But now is definitely the time for close friends, and especially family, to pitch in, maybe doing some food shopping, laundry, sharing some home cooking, giving Alessio some much needed down time. As the saying goes, it takes a village.😃
Praying for you both, baby Pasini and Micah.❤❤❤ And NO worries about content! We're not going anywhere!🤗
