    Very well explained. Here is one query, if we update our config files, how the Configmap will deals with Pods. Do pods need to re-deploy for the new changes.

    • @DevOpsPro
      @DevOpsPro  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, pods need to be restarted for the new changes in ConfigMap to take effect.

    Thanks Madam I understood CofigMap and namespace (1 ConfgMap per namespace)
    Suppose I want to have same value shared across all namespaces how to do it? Any possibility?

    • @DevOpsPro
      @DevOpsPro  7 месяцев назад

      You can manually copy the configmap to multiple namespaces, but that will not be automatically syncronized if any one of those changes. For that you may use third party solutions like github.com/emberstack/kubernetes-reflector

    How to access those key values into xml file of java web application? Could you please explain with syntax

    • @DevOpsPro
      @DevOpsPro  Год назад

      To access key values in an XML file of a Java web app, use the environment variables or volume mounts configured with the ConfigMap. This allows your app to fetch the values. Syntax varies based on your app's code and XML structure. Hope this helps!

    Hello, how can we encrypt the data-file data, bcz I don't want to make it visible to anyone.

    • @DevOpsPro
      @DevOpsPro  Год назад

      You can encrypt the data in your ConfigMap by using Kubernetes secrets. Secrets allow you to store sensitive information, such as passwords or API keys, in an encrypted format. Simply create a secret with your encrypted data and mount it in your application. This way, the data remains secure and hidden from prying eyes.

    Hi Ma'am, I want to create ConfigMap from file using ansible module ... is it possible ?

    • @DevOpsPro
      @DevOpsPro  Год назад +1

      Yes, it is possible to create a ConfigMap from a file using the Ansible "k8s" module. The "k8s" module allows you to manage Kubernetes resources, including ConfigMaps, using YAML definitions.
