When I got home, my mom saw how traumatized I was and I told her what had occurred at school. My mom was a single parent and worked the graveyard shift at the cannery. When she got home the next morning, she gave me permission to stay home because she was going to “pay a visit to my school”. When I attend school the next day, my teacher was so nice.
