Inauguration Rites of Fidel V. Ramos | 12th President of the Republic of the Philippines

The inauguration is a ceremony marking the commencement of the 6-year term of the President of the Philippines. Adhering to the tenets of the 1987 Constitution, President Ramos took his oath of office at 12:00 noon of 30 June 1992, which was administered by Supreme Court Chief Justice Andres Narvasa. Following is President Ramos’ oath of office as prescribed by the Constitution:
"Ako, si Fidel Valdez Ramos, ay taimtim na nanunumpa na tutuparin ko nang buong katapatan at sigasig ang aking mga tungkulin bilang Pangulo ng Pilipinas, pangangalagaan at ipagtatanggol ang kanyang Konstitusyon, ipatutupad ang mga batas nito, magiging makatarungan sa bawat tao, at itatalaga ang aking sarili sa paglilingkod sa Bansa. Kasihan nawa ako ng Diyos."
The inauguration, held at the Quirino Grandstand, was the first peaceful transition of power after the ratification of the 1987 Constitution and the first inauguration after the 1986 EDSA Revolution. President Ramos delivered his inaugural address following his oath.
