- Many years ago I started a golf cart project - the classic story of getting in way over my head and expanding the scope of the restoration to ridiculous levels. I won't say it wasn't fun to do, but it was also a bit ludicrous. Before it was finished, however, it got sold to one friend, then another, then another and finally another before I bought it back from him and finished it. This is that story.
Cart will be auctioned live at Premier Auction Group's Gulf Coast Classic on December 1 & 2, with internet bidding on Proxybid. Now that it's all ready to go, might as well not bother to enjoy it, right?

Pfft Bill's tolerance is so high, he'd never get a DUI. His BAC could be 4 times the legal limit, but his driving would remain smooth and steady; wouldn't catch the eye of police.

I don't think I've ever seen an EZ Go with oversize mag wheels! That's cool. After you sell the cart, you should customize your golf bag, and build that Car Play stereo into it, and a couple of nice speakers. Then you can do like Rodney Dangerfield's character in Caddy Shack, and rock out on the course! 😁 With Blue Tooth earbuds of course.
Glad to see a golf cart video that did not devolve into a diatribe about ball washing techniques, improving the grip on your shaft and lamenting about missing the hole despite multiple strokes.

I get it that it's a bit of a Florida thing but you know that you're a retired "has been" when you spend significant resources and time on souping up and customizing a golf cart!

The story of this golf cart reminds me of a 1978 Regal I'd bought off a guy to deliver pizzas in so I could mod my 84 RX7 in 1988. Paid him $200 for the regal. I did some cosmetic and interior work on it, plus my tips doubled driving that POS looking car 😂. I left the pizza place and didn't need the 2nd car. Sold ot to my mechanic neighbor who did a lot of engine and brake work to it. He then sold it to a paint & body friend of his who painted it. Idk where that car is at today, at the rate it was going it wouldn't surprise me to see it roll across Barrett Jackson. Everybody that got the car did a lot of work to it. It affectionately got named Christine.
