you hit the nail in the couchin with that comment for those of us that had a sega saturn we share the same pain and joy of owning one in the 90s there will never be nothing like it while everyone said i was dumb for not getting a playstation i say i was ok for those of us that know we know
Jesus CHRIST, I remember being 3 years old when I played this on my daddy's computer, and I LOVED this song. I've been looking for it for 15 years as I forgot what it came from. Thank you so much for uploading!
Ah man, this takes me back to the glory days of the Saturn. Sega always had the best music for thier games back in the 1990's. Was even more satisfying when you got a really good run on the desert stage, knowing you'd be able to watch it again with this killer track :) Thanks so much for posting this HollowZangetsu88
I wish Sega would make games with music like this again. I miss the entire industry having music like this. I'm sick of the ambience and Hollywood-esque minimalist, orchestral scores. They're not awful but they aren't memorable and don't hook me like 90's game music.
Nowadays, game companies are creating games with stunning graphics, often overlooking the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional artists for posters and albums. We used to eagerly anticipate game albums, right? However, the current landscape seems to have shifted.
What we need is a petition of a few million or billion gamers to come together and ask the industry to collectively get their heads out of their butts and pretty pretty goddamn please collaborate with real music artist again and maybe we’ll get something similar to what came out in these old Sega games and other arcades
Blaze PT Definitely. I was recently watching a stream where they played a newly released rally game, I saw that the Lancia Delta Integrale was a driveable car and instantly I was back in my younger teens competing co-op with my older brother, hours upon hours of perfecting the timescores. Awesome game with, just as I remembered, an even more awesome soundtrack. Ah, the memories... may I never forget.
Adam -亚当- Sega Rally Championship was a Sega Saturn game... Sega Rally Championship 2 was for the Dreamcast. This soundtrack is for the Sega Saturn game :/
Jonathan Mack ah well spotted, yea I meant saturn. I remember struggling to steer and control when I first got it, but the saturn was a great console, my first taste of command and conquer too !
I left secondary school just before Sega Rally came out on Sega Saturn. Many a great day playing this awesome game. Truly gutted Sega no longer make Arcade games. Truly an end of an era....
@Lumix_Corrupt like they're racing games, fighting games, And action adventure games. That Rhythm game and whatever that other one is aren't really what sega are known for, but you're quite right. They are games. It's just not what I want from Sega. I'm old mate... hahaha. I miss the old days
This sounds like a mix of both a closing theme to an anime and an upbeat victory theme from a JRPG like Persona. Which is awesome in every way conceivable.
Just Awesomw game and musics! Play a lot in 1996-1998, and recently bought a sega saturn with a lot of games, included this masterpiece. (sorry for bad english)
+brokenSCART im quite sad about that.....we grew up in a great age of gaming evolution, today there are good games and better sound graphics than ever but.....something is missing :/ the old gaming days were so awesome !
Unbelieveable good racing music, unbelieveable good music! Chills, goose bumps! Awesome! This is amazing stuff! The guitar solo at the end 2:50 sad and wow!
@JeefCakes This is practically the theme song to my childhood as well. What an amazing track. The solo at the end (from 2:50 on) is absolutely beautiful.
@@brorianszkAgreed. Now I’ve been getting into the Famicom Disk System, but I’ve been expanding my CIB North American sega Saturn collection. I’m hoping to save up for Mega man 8 since it’s one of my favorites & I already have mega man X4 which is amazing on Saturn
@@maxrichards5925 I wonder if there is a way to play the Saturn online and stream so that a pal could play without owning the game or the console. The NES / Famicom is about to get its first cartridge including a wifi chip. The game, Super tilt bro, will be playable online on the real hardware. It's also open source so that anyone can modify the game and make different versions. What a time to be alive! Megaman games are appealing games in general but I've only played Megaman 2 and Willy wars. Nothing on 32 bits or younger systems.
Probably. I know it was a rally racer, like this one. ...just looked it up. That was it. Also, it was his first apperance in a game, ever. Like, even before his own game came out. That's kind of amazing.
killer hooks.....love everythin about this song and the whole sega rally soundtrack. I would love to know who did the music for the soundtrack, especially who the guitarist was, is it true either Joe Satriani or Reb Beach did this soundtrack?
Only 4 tracks! But who cares you could master them all. And try shave that 100th of a second off a lap! Never ever got board of any track after tens of thousands of laps!!!! Amazing game!!
Maximillian dood with the hook up. This song slaps
THREE years ago....damn...by the time I followed, he no longer played this one, and now track 04 doesn't even make the cut! Lol
This song, so legendary, Sega even bought it back last year on their 60th. This is how it is done
This makes me wanna cry from how beautiful this sounds. Life used to be so simple.
こんなに素晴らしいゲームミュージックは聴いたことないよ
I agree it is quite magnificent!
Let's look at your run one more time on the desert course
i used to practice for hours, running the best lap over and over again just to watch the replay with this song.
ditto!
Again ditto! loved this game and the music....hours and hours gone to music heaven and gameplay heaven!
Was right there with you mate, did exactly the same thing

One thing Sega knew about back then was Racing games with personality.
i get the goosebumbs when i listen to this :D that nostalgy!!
This Music is beautiful after all those hardworks steering car for victory and enjoying replay with funky beats
Fun Fact: The composer of the Saturn version also worked on the Sonic CD soundtrack!
After 23 years still rocks!!!

Easy left, easy right
Love this game and this music so much!
Racing music does not get any better than this
Such a beautiful track brings a tear to my eye. Remembering better times. No dlc no day one patches just complete games.
the first daytona could've done with a day one patch though?

The 90's were the best time ever to grow up
@@SShorsepower Yes, exactly :)
that synth gives me chills... sooooooooooo good
This theme was way too good to have simply been a stage replay theme. This could have been a #1 hit in the 90s.
0:34 sounds so magical.
magnifique lead!
Maximillian Dood with the godly taste yet again
Possible the best OST for a racing game ever.
My God I loved this game...and from someone who didn't normally play racing games.
one of the hottest tracks from Sega Rally Championship and definitely my favorite!!
Just use to watch my Replay of this course 20 times because i loved this song so much :D
なつかし過ぎて、、、

Sonic Mania? :)))
Yes they do, you obviously haven't played every modern video game so you wouldn't know that.

I love this game. so fun to play
The coolest thing about the replays is depending on how you did the announcer would say a different phrase like "taking your own sweet time"
I was 6-7 at the time.i almost i imagined this track
im back loving it still!
this song is appeared on N-gage version too!
RIGHT IN THE NOSTALGIA.

Wow. I'd buy this game just for the music!
Mr. Biscuit once again with excellent music! Great track!
Best track ever in a game!
Sega Rally: where the freaking Replay themes are somehow even better than the already great track theme.

I can confirm. We need a radio channel deticated to video game music.
The glory years
Anyone who likes music & racing games must be a sega fan
This music seems like a "Wave Race" tune
The only race game I watch replay! just for music!
sounds like a cross between old Sonic and Sega GT...I always loved Sega's music department!
Super fresh

And of course it was by one of Sonic CD's composers, Naofumi Hataya!
All-time best!
Why I remember Maximilian Dood hearing this?
This song describes my state of mind when the police show me the CCTV footage of all my drunken robberies and streaking runs after I wake up.
Oh yes baby!!!
It says Desert Replay but to me it really sounds like if there was a Beach level. Still an awesome song from an equally awesome game.
