No matter how you pronounce ”Dauzat St. Marie” [though dō'-zaht sānt muh-ree’ would be accurate], the name has certainly been circulating far and wide these past several years through heavyweight touring with heavyweight artists. These two hardcore troubadours have been busy touring all over the U.S. as main support for Grammy® Award winning heartthrob Rick Springfield’s “Stripped Down” solo acoustic show series for the past four years and have peppered in dates with The Marshall Tucker Band, Lindsay Ell, Schuyler Fisk / Sissy Spacek, and Rick Derringer in between. Most recently, the power duo toured the U.S. as main support for legendary music icons Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, and Dauzat St. Marie is showing no signs of slowing down.

It sounds simple, but Elton John explained it when he said George Michael was "a brilliant singer of lyrics"...to me, that translates to a musician who can take you into the song and make you feel every feeling, good or bad...happy or sad. There are few musicians who can make me feel the lyrics... the meaning....you are one of those few. I have smiled listening to your songs and I have cried...and that's okay with me. When I watch you play this song it always really moves me. The name of this song says it all. It would be understandable for anyone in that position to give up but and rightfully be down but you did the exact opposite and beat this terrible cancer. Honestly I believe this moving song is the most important song for all people to hear and to make this gift for all of us cancer survivors is totally inspirational. Best wishes in 2022 and my New Year resolution is to see you both live as many times as I can.
