Serious question: Why do you like this track? What is it about? Yeah it's pretty but it never kicks off and gets bigger and the lyrics are a mess.
@@TheGoldenCapstone Even though I often write about music, often times I'm unable to put into words why I like a particular song. I just do. I think the melody somehow reminds me of some other melody from something I heard back in the 70s so it probably triggers some feeling of nostalgia in me. Even though I don't really know what the song is about, even after having watched Caleb explain it.

I also have been listening to Kings of Leon for quite some time. They have been my favorite band for almost 17 years. I was 10 the first time I heard their music, “Charmer” on “Because Of The Times” and I never stoped. I am about to get their signature cherries as a tattoo and fun fact, “Kol” is a Viking style way to spell the name Cole. So if I ever have a son, his name will be Kol. My husband is 100% on board too. Its awesome.

After Mustang came out, I thought this would be a rocker. Not at all but I REALLY enjoy this album. Beautiful record, my fav of theirs since Mechanical Bull.

It's the perfect follow up to When You See Yourself and actually quite similar in parts with the synth and slow burning stuff. Love it

I like how Caleb said for Ballerina radio for the explanation of it “it’s whatever you want it to be” love how the song is meant to be interpreted to what the listener wishes it to be relating to the aesthetic and setting.

I really love how different songs on the album have the same vibes and sounds from some of their older albums! All while also having some new sounds and styles!
Best album since come around sundown. Up there with bc of the times and their best work. I'm gonna say at least their best work in over 10 years. Extremely happy with all the songs and cant wait to hear them live.

Although I like The Bandit and M television in their own ways there are so many parallels. Both great tracks but the tracks on this album feel so much more alive then when you see yourself.

Sounds like Matt wasn't given much representation on this album, all this joking/ mocking, him not being told the title of the album because they knew he'd hate it- he certainly kicked back and refused to bring his 🔥 guitar solos 😜 Always nice to hear new KOL but unfortunately thought this album was a bit bland.

Brotherly teasing. Pretty common when you have siblings. Especially when you’re all boys…I too have 3 brothers. Makes perfect sense to tag on him while he isn’t there just to have fun with it.
I’m still waiting for the album to click. Im a massive fan since the very beginning. I’ve seen them live 3 times and I have cherry pit tickets for this tour! But…90% of the album is a snooze so far.

The lyrics aren't great on this record. The singer said he was literally just looking around the room and making things up.
Most of the songs sounds exactly the same as their past album and some other sounds familiar to other songs, like they plagiarized the riff or something (ballerina radio, nowhere to run, actual daydream).
Everything is there on this album for greatness but sadly the lyrics don't connect with the audience. Frustrating because it could easily have been one of their very best. They may have to bring in another writer for the next album. The band sound fabulous but kills me to say that the lyrics are too vague and don't connect.
Well, i think some songs like Ballerina Radio are amazing in every way

Massive kings of Leon fan but this album is way below par. Pretty gutted. Remove the singles and rest of album sounds kinda same. Little bit over produced for my liking
I completely agree, another bland disappointment despite all the band's hype.
I completely disagree but yes its a little samey at first listen, but many tracks start to stand out over time. It's a bit difficult to differentiate on such an atmosphereic album at first. There's no way you can be hating on Seen though

I’m gonna go listen to because of the times over and over ..I love the kings have since yaymh but I gotta give this new one some more listens all the way through to see if it grows on me
