I love your little animals. They are so cute when you said if we had any suggestions about how to turn Fabric your way is just as good as anybody else’s but the way I learned it is that out with a straw and a small metal crochet hook using it for smaller “pieces. If you Google turning fabric with a straw you’ll see what I’m saying and it works wonderful but yours does too. Thanks for what you do. It was really fun watching you this morning.
Some crafters are amazing with their inherent ability to teach. I sometimes listen to what you're saying, sometimes I just watch with the sound off and you're so good, I know exactly what to do with the sound off. How amazing that consciously or unconsciously you provide instruction for the hearing impaired or possibly the non-English speaker. Obviously, I think your videos are great!
I followed your cat tutorial, Nikki, and I think the best piece of advice you gave was when you said words to the effect of when you think you have finished stuffing, stuff some more...your cow is beautiful...I'm ordering fabric right now. Thanks for the tutorial. 🐮
Loved this tutorial. Your cow is udderly charming and your tutorial very mooving. I have my cat, dare I admit it... half done. Now I want to finish her off so I can make the cow. Thought I wasn't too fussed on the cow but you have changed my mind. Thanks Nikki.
I was so happy to discover your tutorial. I had downloaded the pattern recently and was getting ready to start. I found your channel and now it is going to be so much easier to make. Love how yours turned out. Thank you!
Suggestion - on the curved parts (like the "hands"), clip the seam allowance before you turn it right side out. It will help the seam not be as bulky. But your cow is just SO cute!!
So excited to see this! I've put doing this one off for wayy tooo long! But recovering from surgery I cant sew/cut etc for a couple of weeks 😫 but will share very soon!! 🐮❤ great video Nik xx
Oh that cow is super cute! Thanks Nik, can't wait to find some fabric to make this one. Where do you find the Tilda doll fabric ? I have looked and asked at my local fabric shops but no luck. My best advice is to stuff as much as possible, leave it over night and come back and stuff some more the next day or a few hours later.
Thanks Hayley- and that’s great advice about the stuffing! I’ve had a few people ask about the Tilda fabric, I’ll be sure to mention it in my next sewing room chat. I get mine online because, like you, there’s limited Tilda in shops near me, if you are in Australia try Fabric Pixie- it’s my favourite online shop for all things Tilda.
The link to the patterns are always in the description box, but I will also include it here for you ☺️ www.tildasworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Tilda-Friends-Cow-free.pdf
Quilting cotton is fine for these dolls, in this video I am using the Tilda doll fabric but I have used quilting cotton for others and it’s perfectly fine ☺️
