Because it's Like a mini game kinda that they give you during battle mode, as I'm guessing a fun like optional little mini game, because most of the time after defeating ash on the evil dead stage the zombie minigame happens right after but sometimes it's before the fight, I guess idk
Candyman can combo from almost anything, he's also amazing in the air and has crazy combo damage, Pinhead is a close 2nd, he needs to rely on his Helper chains to truly maximize his play style, Leatherface is really fun to use and is a superbeast when he places his bear traps on the floor, and Ghostface is very tricky and deceitful, a wild card, you never know what's his next move might be, he's also really fast too.

Kinda yeah, it all depends on their play style really, like Tall Man is really powerful too, but also very hard to use at the same time
