It's helpful to pop the windshield washer nozzles out of the hood before polishing. I find that's easier than trying to work around them and later clean up the accumulation of polishing compound.
Considering the age of the car, the hood looks quite good. Is it the original paint AFAYK?

Rob Murray original paint, I believe. I’m pretty fair at spotting overspray. Those nozzles looked like more work than I felt like doing as I jumped into this last-minute

that's a great improvement even though you polished in the nightime ^^ you should polish the whole car and make it extra nice :) also fix up the roof with some textile refresher. It looked a little bit faded.
pontus laurell that poor roof just needs new canvas. But it’s supposed to be a grey top, however looks more green.

@@DavidBello I get that, but when it comes to cutting and polishing, you'd think having daylight (or a well-lit environment) would be preferred.
@@RemcodeRooij and the noise the DA polisher makes you’ll piss off all your neighbours!
Was the damage passed the clear and you just applied all to chemicals to give a inferior shine? if yes, it's only a matter time till the new owner comes back and sue your ass for fooling him.Ain't no escaping proper sanding to the metal, applying primer, getting the oem paint code and giving the entire hood and eventually the car the paintjob its old ass deserves.
