- Here is PART 8 of My Pinball Collection featuring the Bally / Williams hybrid from 1996, Safe Cracker.
Many of you have asked to see more pinball videos. So, here is a quick "close-up" of one particular machine in my collection. I hope you enjoy it and look for future installments coming soon.

*It's an OLD website I created, very basic....but, it has a lot of information in it.*
God! This brings back memories! I still kick myself for not buyiny this pinball machine when our local shopping center was being gutted and rebuilt. All those beautiful arcade machines and pinball cabinets tossed out and trashed...my heart just broke again.
I always play Safecracker when I go to PAPA. I also noticed that the machine at PAPA was also one shipped overseas. The only other place I played the game was in Disney World at the ESPN Club and the game didn't work that well. It took me till PAPA 12 to fully appreciate the game.
Me and my dad are huge pinball enthusiasts. I love your collection. My dad has never earned the token for this game. My uncle played this all the time when our mall had an arcade and the tokens could be redeemed for tickets and he ended up winning so many tokens he got a video camera with the tickets
I used to play this game as a kid in the arcade. I loved it and I was so excited to get one of the tokens- the one with the cop eating the donut that said in pinball we trust. Over the years, I lost the coin and I've always wanted to get another one.
I just got back Vegas, where I visited the pinball hall of fame. I sat down with the intention of getting a coin, but to my dismay, there were none, even though I got into the vault like 5 times. I was really hoping to re-win the coin for notalgia
Kind of a disappointment. Why have a Safecracker if it doesn't have the tokens? :(
@Captain Midnight oh noooo
Just wanted to thank you again Chris for your pinball videos. Your videos are a fan favorite at work. We watch them as we work and have started new interest in pinball with the video game only crowd at work. The guys at work ask for your videos regularly.
@spida1a whoa, glad to know that the pinball master is still with us :D
there are alot of pinball machines I like and enjoy. but there have only been 2 that I really adore... and you just so happen to have them next to each other
Absolutely! A lot of unique fun with this one! Thanks for watching!
Coming to Pinball Arcade next week! Can't wait!
Had no idea this game was considered somewhat rare. I remember playing this all the time as a kid and absolutely loved it. Either I wasn't good enough or the machine was out, but I certainly do not remember the tokens coming out like that!
I have never seen this Pin Chris but it looks very cool and unique.
I actually won a token on my second play on this machine. Absolutely love it :-)
I do enjoy Golden Eye. It is a lot of fun. LOVE that Satellite gimmick! Thanks for watching!
@techfreak6 This was the first one I filmed after I was released from the hospital (my car flipped and my head was quite stitched up). Ha ha. So.....yeah, I was probably pretty tired. :(
@Vkmies The only arcade machine I own right now is "Donkey Kong." As part of the last installment of this Pinball Collection, I was going to briefly show it. Like "other stuff in my gameroom" kind of thing. :)
Woohoo! Safecracker! Super rare game, and VERY cool! Dying to see your review of your game.....and a game in my collection.....WHITEWATERRRRRRRRRR!!! :) Keep up the great work Chris!
Hey Chris! Now that's a pinball machine I have never seen or played. Very unique, and I hope it's one of your "keepers."
I would love to get into pinball collecting but I am still just so in love with retro consoles ATM that i just can't justify it yet. Seeing as how I just bought a Neo Geo AES my money is going to be tied up elsewhere. :)
I REALLY like the idea of winning a token in the game, It's kinda like a physical achievement unlocked. If all machines did this (like a bronze coin for 1,000,000 points, Silver for 2,500,000 and Gold for 5,000,000), I reckon the audience would increase ten fold. Also there'd be a massive market for collections of coins etc.
SafeCracker seems like a really cool game. Something about the tokens makes the game memorable-- though the magnets look kinda awful by today's standards, it's nice to still have something indicative of one's accomplishment.
Holy crap Chris!! I'm glad you're alright. I too noticed you were a little subdued, or something. Close calls like that can definitely be unnerving, but you're a soldier to dish out another review for everyone. :) Nice machine. Pinball + boardgame? Sweeeeet.
really enjoying these collection vids.
To be totally honest dude, im jealous that you got at least ONE pinball machine. My lifelong dream is to own at least ONE of them, especially Addams Family, Fun house, Ninja Turtles, T2 or Medieval Madness since I remember them the most from my childhood
@spida1a Oh. You're right about that! Certainly wouldn't expect it to be that heavy...
nearly my all time fav...great game.
it's obvious this guy would eat potatoes and sleep in a wheat field to be able to collect those things. that is passion man ! :)
Whoa, you don't see too many games that give you tokens there. Cool review!
@techfreak6 I was literally driving home from NYC after finding my apartment. The car hit a deer, flipped over a few times. I was quite lucky, IMHO. So, I wore my hat during some of the segments because they shaved the "back part" (not that you could see it anyway). Ugh!
It certainly is a unique game!
safecracker is surprisingly not quite as expensive as some of the more popular pinball games. These hover around $6000-7000 which is surprising for such a rare and collectible pinball game but people seem to want Adams Family, Twilight Zone, and Medieval Madness a whole lot more and are willing to spend much more for those even though they are far more common.
Amazing machine, one I've been looking for.
@nlafavore Yes, but it's "deceptively" heavy. You wouldn't expect this machine to be as heavy as it is since it is smaller. Hence....why I said "deceptively" heavy.
Plus, once you add the backbox weight, it is heavier than both of those machines you described.
Again a pinball review full of very interesting Informations, thanks chris for all the explanations =)
really nice pinball machine man!
Really.
Safe cracker was a precursor to Pinball 2000.
Except not breaking the fourth wall with video animation..
But definitely a start.
@TheCrulZ2348 I can't remember which one it is (there are SO many hidden cow things in these games, ha ha). But, I remember hearing about one....
Wow you found one!
Give me some examples of cow easter eggs in pinball machines. I only know about the cow award, hidden in Tales of the Arabian Nights.
Who cares if you "look like crap" in this video? It's still a great review!
@Undurrrdog1 It worked out well for people who enjoy it. But, it sold horribly and didn't really make the splash they had hoped. :(
Enjoy your pinball videos :)
@vooghie Yes, that is my number. Ha ha. I didn't show that in the Big Bang Bar vid.....or did I? I can't remember. Ha ha. :)
Thank you for another great video,Chris :}
Do you have any arcade-machines? And If you do, have you ever planned to make any videos about them?
How much are those tokens worth now? I have a half dozen or so that I saved from when I played that game back in the day!
@JetSetBaroni No wonder my knees are getting bad. Ha ha. :)
Were you feeling alright when you filmed this Chris? I don't know if it's just my imaginination, but to me, it sounded like you were pretty freakin tired..... I don't maybe it's just my imagination :P
did you about the cow sound easter egg??????
Ticks me off when I get knocked out of the board, too.
Scared Stiff had 4,028 games made
Well, it's the game is the same weight as Scared Stiff (270 pounds) and lighter than Medieval Madness (355 pounds). So it's not the heaviest game.
dude, join the nyc pinball league!
Thumbs up if you have seen this in TPA!
@TrueSoreThumb Well, you can blame my ex-girlfriend for the magnets. We made them for free so....ha ha, oh well. :)
Nope. :)
I can't believe this wasn't more of hit. Who doesn't like timed pinball? Weeeeeeeeee!!! This game fucking sucks!
wtf..are u a billionare or what ?
