Cracking video mate, watched a few of your videos on your channel. Just subscribed 😅. Looking to do Shining Tor tomorrow 26/3. , part of circular route of about 10 miles 😎
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoyed your walk today, weather was stunning this morning. Shining Tor will always be one of my favourite walks in the Peaks.
@@alexcripps.outdoors Hi Alex , thanks for reply 👍. Got to save this walk for another time, ended up doing Whernside Circular walk instead , the weather looked good . 😊
So beautiful area there, great presentation from you. I hope i can visit this place one day. I wish you all the best and have a great day. See you soon again
That was another great video Alex and the perfect antidote to a long day at work 👍. You had some fantastic weather and that is a great route. I think we’ll copy that route in June and experience it for ourselves! I know what mean about the wood being cut down. The house I grew up in backed onto over 100 acres of accessible mature woodland and it was my childhood playground and was really awesome. Although they left a lot of the oldest oaks and beech trees as “standards”, when they harvested it I remember that I was absolutely gutted! Many a camp was built in that wood and we used to dam the stream to make a pond. And scare each other after dark in there with stories of werewolves! Such great memories. Well done for bagging more Trig Points 👍
Thank you Greg! Yes I highly recommend it, lots to see and many different routes if you want to change it up a bit! That sounds terrible! Its horrible to know somewhere that holds so many memories for it to be wiped away! Glad they’ve replanted the trees here though. Thanks for the great comment as always Greg, hope you have a good bank holiday weekend 👍👍
Good evening Alex and welcome back! It is lovely to have a few camera free walks, keep the balance and be happy 🤗 fantastic video and some great veiws if some fine and rugged land! Spies some great stone walls too. Smashing stuff as always Alex, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕❤👍🤗
Thank you guys! Yes I’ve really enjoyed not taking the camera with me on every walk, a lot less stressful especially when having camera issues! Thank you very much, hope you’re both having a great long weekend 👍😁☕️
Quality stuff Alex, another cracking video. Great videos & a great sense of Adventurism. Great weather too, 9 down plenty more to go! The more the better!
Great video Alex and what a fantastic place, one of my favourite walks Shining Torr, sometimes even do a short walk or run from the cat and fiddle, some great views and no two days the same! Thanks for sharing and all the best, Paul
Thank you Paul! Yes it’s definitely one of my favourite walks also, love the area, so many different walks and routes to take! Thanks Paul, hope you’re having a good long weekend 👍😁
@@alexcripps.outdoors hi Alex thanks and likewise, yes there are some cracking routes for exploring, often think we are very lucky to live near such fantastic countryside, all the best, Paul
Brilliant stuff Alex. It’s a great area to walk isn’t it. I haven’t walked a few of those spots so will definitely check them out some time. I’m missing that weather from a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been out a few times this week and it’s like winter has returned again. Keep ticking those trig points off 👍
Thank you Anthony! Yes so many different routes and things to see in the area, love it. The weather has certainly got worse, keep checking the weather hoping to see that May heatwave that we usually get! Appreciate the comment as always, all the best 👍
Superb video as always Alex! I told Anthony Johnson I have Shining Tor and Shutlingsloe on my list to do in one of my next few walks. Looking forward to it. Brilliant views mate and really well put together 👏🏻 Very interesting about Joe Browns numbers you were telling us about 👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks! I shall try and find it when I go 😁 You're doing well with those trigs now bud.. keep it up pal 💯 Take care mate... Chris
Thank you Chris! Yes it’s a great place to walk, so many different routes as well. You’re in for a treat! There’s quite a few of the Joe Browns numbers in that area, the one at Shining Tor is really easy to spot, just have a look on the rocks behind the trig facing the cat and fiddle road 👍👍 Thanks mate! Appreciate the kind words! Take care and have a good weekend mate 👍👍😁😁

Thank you Isaac! Yes it’s great up there, on a clear day there’s so much to see! Love the Goyt Valley also, very peaceful and relaxing walking through it. Cheers Isaac 👍😁
Another cracking walk Alex. One of my favourites👍 Have you bagged the trig up on Burbage Edge (the Buxton one) on your quest? That's another really nice walk in that area. All the best👍
@@alexcripps.outdoors All the old features of the Cromford & High Peak railway up there are interesting to explore. I did a vid on it a few months back.
You picked a great day for some great views, haven't been to Whaley Bridge since I did my Bronze DofE, a mere 38 years ago 😀
Yes I'm certainly missing that dry sunny weather, can't seem to get a rain free day at the moment! 😆 Great place to do your Bronze DofE!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful video I enjoyed it. Sending love and light yugen bliss the road to happiness ☺
