Hell yea, DW peak was DW4, DW5 is 2nd, DW6 is 3rd, fell off after that. Gameplay is just not satisfying anymore, it's just numbing, no thought, boring, one man army, etc. If they bring back the strategy element to it, I might buy this DW installment just to support them. They used to be able to combine action and strategy gameplay elements perfectly.
The detail of the spears falling from the enemies' hands is magnificent, a beautiful game. I can't wait to play.
The way the camera follows you and the soldiers while charging to the enemy is just badass! Feels super immersive now! Cant wait to play the shit out of this game again!
The camera shaking & zooming out also enhance the feel, and the musou cutscene(?) is noticeably better as well imo.
Also thank God for return of static image on dialogue during battle, DW9 3d model is just...uegh🤮

Well, finally this is looking like a decent game. Soldiers at least look like the are charging. This saga really deserves to be great.
Took em a long time to make the NPCs actually fight back hahaha!

DW6 lieutenant fights back often but it's annoying to me that they do not drop anything when defeated since they're basically another officer

I do hope they continue this type of gameplay style with the next Empires game.
I just hope you can fight alongside your child and not have to wait until you finish your run, lol. Why's they do that?

They're using a variant of the Nioh, RotR, Wu Long engine it seems and it feels like the enemies are ACTUALLY there with you this time. The immersion and sense of scale is awesome!! This is what happens when you don't pump out yearly games, take the time to craft with love and care. Gonna have to buy it
Bro the moment the music hit... I was already sold !! Can't wait to play this game. I played all the DW, SW and orochi games. Finally the NPC are hitting back like in DW2-5 after that they turned into sandbags...

So they went the board map route. And the Ai is actually aggressive. Sweet 😌
That's how things should go, board maps! Open worlds are a catastrophe!
It certainly looks better, hoping they take the DW5's destiny mode approach and let the player side with the other factions through the course of the game. It would be a cool way to see the story unfold as some nobody.
Open world for this type of game is not it.

I always found past versions of Guan Yu’s kit to be subdued for someone with the title “god of war” but this iteration definitely lives up to that name

This looks like the game I always envisioned in my head when I was a kid playing. Huge battles, arcade style fighting that is somewhat grounded, and trying my best to turn the tide of the war !
They give Zhang Jiao a glow up, young Guan Yu, there is probably age progression like Sanadamaru in this game. They perfectly incorporated open world with Dynasty warrior maps, i love this direction they take
I am glad they portrayed how Yellow Turban started. Zhang Jiao started with good intentions only for it to spiral out of control. And he actually looks good this time! Can’t wait to play!
Wow, absolutely impressed by the gameplay. Love the way troops move like a wave, looks cinematic asf. As someone who has played Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, the romance and Nobunaga's Ambition games, and all the Kessen games, since I was a little kid, Igotta say I have felt any sort of excitement for one of their games since I was a kid. Playing day 1.

This looks dope, imagine a multiplayer pvp dynasty warriors. Rts elements but you can also control your characters, and vs other players army’s. Would be sick
stop trying to force pvp on every damn game. not everyone wants to play pvp 24/7. i want it as an option. not forced.
@@youtubeisracistx lol I’m not saying it has to be the only mode, Elden ring’s pvp is an option. Would be cool if there was a pvp mode, multiple like players armies vs each other or 5v5 etc

Good, they definitely overhauled the AI a lot to make sure Dynasty Warriors is depicting a war, not just a feud between officers :)
A major step up from DW8 and DW9, let's hope this one's a major spectacle the whole game.

You play as one, nameless, non-custom character. Sometime you can switch mid-battle to someone else on your team but mostly you're just this one, generic guy.

Dang Ive been playing DW since DW3 came out, I was 5 playing as Lu Bu 🥹 loved SW, WO on PSP was 🔥. Good times this game has brought me I can’t wait for this !!!!!

Hype. Long-time fan of the series. In addition to what everyone else has said, I also like the little detail they added with the soldiers' equipment flying everywhere.
Teaming up with Guan Yu and Zhang Jiao before the Yellow Turbans? That's a hell of a start if ya ask me.
Fighitng Lu Bu going to be even harder in this game. Also, now this is war, and not some small skirmish in every single fight.

You can tell they learned certain formulas from Wo Long. I’m glad they gave generals and officers souls like combat while smaller enemies like privates get the hack and slash combat

Remember first time I ever played Dynasty Warriors on PS1 lol I ain’t expect them to make bout 20 of them 😂 but it was the greatest game I ever played
The main protagonist is likely Liu Bian, the older brother of the puppet emperor Liu Xie. Liu Bian died at the age of 15 at the hands of Dong Zhuo because he became too hard to control so Dong Zhuo chose the younger Liu Xie instead.
The world maps reminds of the "Tales of" series and im all in for it

As far as i know this is only DW in name but a complete different approach where you can only play as a nameless hero throughout the Three Kingdoms period met with many important characters in the lore you can say kinda like a certain 3K manga where the story revolves around an isekaied student, so we're probably wont be able to choose and freely playing another character from each faction, not sure how i felt about this but we'll see as so far this looks fun.
Hopefully we get an English dub because I don't want to read while I'm in combat. That was a terrible choice not to have it dubbed for people that don't know what's going on because we're too busy fighting.
Let's hope the English Dub will be better this time or at least get the OG Voice Actors back.
the dynasty warriors 8 cast was the best imo, but most of them are big names so they're probably have some other projects going on

Honestly, I think it is better to decrease some troops of both sides and improve the ai fighting units instead. It will make more the gameplay challenging.
We don't know the full extent of what the Ai can do, it could be on Normal. from looking at him behind enemy lines they were swarming him.

Bring on 2025 I'm so looking forward this as a long time fighter of the dynasty warriors world myself I cannot get enough of it but I have but only three questions #1. Will there be the created character option and what will it have. #2. Will there be a ranking system like after you level up to a new officer rank in any army. and #3. Will there be a romance option for the character's to choose.

I wanna play this game when it's released on PC
Gameplay over graphic. This is why I love the DW game.
So, what do we have in total:
- Main concept of this game devs want to realize - is DW5. They call it "Back to the Roots".
- Only one playable and non-costomizable character (some famous officers can be played temporary in battles)
- About 20 Weapons with unique gameplay and new combos modifications.
- No new characters, Jin characters, "Kids of famous officers" characters, Xiao Sisters etc.
- No multiplayer.
- No "Flashy atmosphere", creative weapon concepts and characters from DW8. Devs want to make a ROTK with the Wo Long gameplay from the whole DW series.
- "Not adding characters considering adding character quantity is no longer the selling point." - from 4Gamer interview. So, they will not make 100+ characters with the 100+ unique signature weapons even in future.
- Game will be only about deep story and deep and tactical gameplay. So, no more meditative croud chopping. Archers will be pain in the a-word. Shielders will be pain in the a-word, etc.
- Duels will be the thing

Ah. Lovely. The "4 hit combo system" (at the start, probably ends up with 6) is back. I hate the loop system.
This one is actually turning out to look good. But I'm still not entire sure about the execution system (12:44). Not so much into cutting off huge chunks of enemy health unless its entirely for flashy purposes (make them immortal at 1HP with the execution function killing them off)
99 % still enjoy all movement, all names, all jutsu iconic of Sengoku Basara,
They will not disappoint, because I neutralize my expectations
