I love your channel. I learned Hebrew 20 years ago but haven't really practiced it since then. RUclips's algorithm suggested one of your videos a few days ago and now I can't stop watching them. Your videos are really great to brush up my memory and the Hebrew subtitles are really helpful if I sometimes don't get every word. Greetings from Vienna!

I will write this in English this time, I found this great. During lockdown I got my certificate as a master herbalist. Ive been making herbal teas and tinctures for years but needed to make it official. So many people here in England are interested in buying my teas , balms and tinctures now. I have a big garden and I also grow carnivorous plants in the greenhouse but herbs are now my passion. I now also have a community garden and lulu husband and I are growing more herbs and fruit and vegtables. So interesting to hear what’s happening in Israel. עד פעם הבאה נעמי

Jewish people are so intelligent and so patient and so fun and so smart. I'm a gentile or what ever but I send love to all Jews. I am artist and I seek truth. Jewish friends have always given me the most valuable info about business and experience as friends go. Always fun to be around. Jews are also hilarious and very very astute. Absolute beautiful people. Send love to all Jews.

Well I have been to a few friends Jewish meetings and they have referred to me as a non Jew or gentile. I am always learning too.
Perhaps the caste system is still alive in their hearts or it is just so.
      I don't know for sure. 👍
Jews do seem to have a quicker intellectual speed..
And as a gentile I seem to have better athletic abilities and more raw physical strength.
For instance I played ice hockey with a bunch of my Jewish friends and kicked their butts. But later when we were telling jokes and talking business I felt like an idiot..
So there is something here to ponder with love.
It's all good.. All is love just many paths to the same field..
      👍😁👊❤️

Merci encore!

Hi. I enjoyed your RUclips video.
I live in Korea, and I'm studying Hebrew these days.
As a result, I try to read books written in Hebrew.
But when I tried to do Bookscan, it didn't recognize vowels well.
How do you do Bookscan in your country?

    • @PieceofHebrew
      @PieceofHebrew  2 года назад +3

      Hi,
      Glad you enjoyed it!
      Actually we don't use vowels.
We only use them when learning the language at a young age, after we know how to read the words by knowing them and the context of a sentence.
      for example the word
      תודה
can be read in different ways:
      תודה על אתמול
toda al etmol- thank you for yesterday
      תודה שזה אתה
tode sheze ate- admit that its you
      Hope that was clear😇

Sometimes I wish that modern Hebrew were imposed on different disciplines (e.g., natural sciences or international law) in order that it -- instead of, say, Modern Standard Arabic (or English or French or Mandarin) -- were made to be more familiar to various populations' ears (and, therefore, were made to seem less foreign to many of humanty's cultures). Listening to this video revives that wish.
