  • Conversion of about an acre of agriculture land into an area for wildlife to feed and live. I've created buffers with trees, added food stations, mineral deposits, and planted a smorgasbord of plants for all wildlife to eat. It's a work in progress!!!!

Do you have any clover growing around the fruit trees and feeder?
And try out a blend this fall of a cereal grain, legume, and a brassica! The power of nature feeding itself with all those plants helping each other is really cool!

@@forrestjones3804 I have used crimson clover in the past and it returns somewhat every year. I absolutely believe in using things that fix nitrogen in the soil for other plants to benefit from.

@@forrestjones3804 I lay a pretty concentrated salt layer around the feeder to keep grass down and supplement minerals for the wildlife. I can try to establish clover around the trees but it probably doesn’t better when there a bit larger and can provide some shade. That area is in direct sunlight most of the day!

@@ElJefePsioda we have been using Medium red clover the last couple years and even in the drought and heat into the 90’s we have it growing late into June. The deer and turkeys are wearing it out, the protein levels in it help with egg and milk production for the females, and antler production for the bucks. It has earned a spot in my mix in most every plot!
