Maybe resolder the remote board header on the pcb and the chassis. As this could cause this issue. Also spray the pots with deoxit and move them back and forth for 1 minute or so to remove any oxidation. This may clear up your issue.

Pull out a Multi meter test diodes, Look at the board at solder joints , Inspect chips and such see if there is a bit of corrosion.Also You know the model of the monitor. see if You can obtain a schematic on the monitor. You may have to pull chips and clean them dono if it is socketed or not.

@@Teshyone it was a tiny piece of solder that fell onto a lead of a resistor and the b + filter cap
