Indeed, so much better than hearing KoC for the millionth time. I've seen Muse 10+ times since 2003 and have never been treated to Showbiz and Matt destroying his gear at the end definitely wasn't just for show.
Kinda worry for Matt every time they have to perform Showbiz either by a certain 'accident' like this or by fans request. I love that song but as Matt grows older, it's not easy to perform it. The majority of their songs are hard to be sung. Thanks heaven he still did very well here. May he takes care of his voice as best as he can.

I got into Muse in about 01 and thought Origins of Symmetry was their first proper album along with Hullabaloo. Absolution had been out a while before i discovered Showbiz. First playing of Album i didnt like it then by third it was my favourite. Didn`t have any means of finding the music back then, just had to rely on what you could buy from HMV, 2nd hand shops and word of mouth. How i heard them in the first place was Plug in Baby on the radio whist i was being sacked from a job, remember thinking oh thats that top tune again got to find out who it is, fuck this job anyway.
Shows how versatile they are as a band, when they can take a deep dive into older but less tech reliant tracks, no prep, and make it sound outstanding on the tech compromised stage. Fantastic to see and hear!
@josephsilveira6158 I'm not 100% either but the harpsichord intro cuts out then Matt and Dom try and extend the intro and look a bit uneasy. Then it cuts back in. Once they start playing I think there was issues with Matt's microphone and the effect changes with his guitar. I'm not sure what it sounded like for them on stage but they couldn't play through it, whatever it was.

Now I am able to see what I lived in this concert at Rock Werchter (what a great festival this one is). Muse put on an amazing show. And now I can better understand the technical problems with Knights of Cydonia. How I regret not staying for Showbiz! (those train schedules....). Glad I saw them days later in Bern....amazing performances!
saw these in huddersfield, then milton keynes and seeing them in the AO arena in september, muse can do what many bands cannot do which is stay consistent throughout all of their gigs! this is exactly why muse are my all time favourite!
When I went I was hoping and praying they'd play MOTP and I got so excited when they played it... not knowing they would end it with showbiz. I've seen muse 5 times now but the werchter show is by far my favorite so far

I just realized when Muse performed in KL, they played Chvrches and turned the volumed up before starting their setlist. If only i knew earlier that was their queue to start but that night was amazing regardless 🤯
They rock as usual. But I always regret that director only (or almost only) focus on Matt, because Dom and Chris can be really fun to watch. One of the big advantage of the band is that thy have a real bass line, so Chris can really crack up :) and Dom is the funny boy of the band.
Matt is certainly the most hyper energy,he practically vibrates if he has to stand still for long, therefore the camera has a lot to follow. Dom has his own RUclips channel, BTec Dom Howard, where you can watch him exclusively during a song. It’s great btw. Chris , while being a fantastic bass player, seems to shy away from the limelight. Really, it’s huge progress that he has recently been walking to the end of the runway to play the starting bass line for Stockholm Syndrome.[ maybe Matt and Dom begged him till they wore him down, who knows?]

The entire concert was absolutely amazing. The people don't realize how lucky they were for the "meltdown," or Showbiz might not have been played, and what a performance. In my opinion, Muse is one of the best, if not the best, band of any generation. They have gotten better and better as the years go on. Keem-em coming. Muser for life!!!!

I felt the same way about the new album, but after giving it a listen more and more, it grew on me. I will admit that "Drones" is a hard album to follow.

One of the best rock bands ever.. I was shocked they got flamed on so hard on their first album because it sounded like Radiohead, IMO it was better than most anything Radiohead has done except for maybe OK Computer.. but Muse branched out and has hit so many genres of music. Love these guys. 💖
Showbiz definitely had some really good songs on it but i wouldn't even say it was better than The Bends and it's definitely not on the level of Kid A or In Rainbows . I prefer Muse to Radiohead but I would say that Radiohead has better written songs, both sonically and lyrically, if you know what i mean.

Well I guess that man knew that it's coming. It was on the printed setlist anyway at that point, so maybe it's a coincidence or he actually knew that WAFF is going to be played now. But something similar happened to me last year at St. Gallen Open Air when I held a sign up asking them to play Citizen Erased. Matt saw it and they actually changed the setlist since Map of the Problematique was on the printed setlist.

I felt the same way about the new album, but after giving it a listen more and more, it grew on me. I will admit that "Drones" is a hard album to follow.

One of the best rock bands ever.. I was shocked they got flamed on so hard on their first album because it sounded like Radiohead, IMO it was better than most anything Radiohead has done except for maybe OK Computer.. but Muse branched out and has hit so many genres of music. Love these guys. 💖

Showbiz definitely had some really good songs on it but i wouldn't even say it was better than The Bends and it's definitely not on the level of Kid A or In Rainbows . I prefer Muse to Radiohead but I would say that Radiohead has better written songs, both sonically and lyrically, if you know what i mean.

Anyone understood What was the technical problem in 'Knights of Cydonia'?? they were trying to get out of it with 'Showbiz' in an old style way of the band - guitar, drums and bass, without the keyboard stage. quite difficult situation..

Well I guess that man knew that it's coming. It was on the printed setlist anyway at that point, so maybe it's a coincidence or he actually knew that WAFF is going to be played now.
But something similar happened to me last year at St. Gallen Open Air when I held a sign up asking them to play Citizen Erased. Matt saw it and they actually changed the setlist since Map of the Problematique was on the printed setlist.
