I opened the back about a month ago and tested the elements, and only the low heat setting was working. I tried everything, then stumbled on your video, followed the details, and hey presto, it got the high heat running again. Can't thank you enough for saving me from wasting my money with a repair man or changing to a new dryer. 👍

Amazing, I thought there must be a way but wasn't sure, after researching I found your video, brilliant buddy. It worked a treat, just saved a fortune as missus was stressing to buy another, especially when 40weeks pregnant and baby should have been here already, thank you very much.
What a great video. Mine was a Hotpoint tumble dryer (different model), 9 months old and had to do the same thing. Easy to take to bits, but I knew it would be a pig to put back together. Up and running. Really helpful video, saved waiting for a warranty repair.
Worked a treat on my old hotpoint aquarius and saved me buying a new one, especially when moneys tight.. You are a legend. Thanks so much, i subscribed as a thank you.
I am forever grateful, I've just fixed my tumble dryer after 10 months thanks to your video, my reset was on the side and hard to get to but a bent paperclip did the trick, I was so happy to hear that little click. As a hard working single mum, you have made my Christmas. The model no was an indesit l1d80wuk Thank you so much 👏👏👏👏
Excellent video and meant I could fix it myself. Apart from the seal giving me some trouble to get the big cover off, it was a piece of cake. Hotpoint probably charge about £100 to fix this
I just did this.I did not hear a click or feel anything. As mine is integrated I took the opportunity to clean out the bottom filter as this is not normally accessible.Thrned jt ot think I had fixed it, but hey presto there is heat! Not sure if it just needed a good clean or if I had reset the thermostat switch.
Thank you very much! Used this trick on my Hotpoint machine and it's up and running again. I wonder if it had something to do with the dry yesterday, as I noticed I hadn't pushed the water tray the whole way in, maybe it caused the machine to overheat or do something. But either way it works perfectly now!
If you didn’t push back the water tank fully water will circulate in the system until when it’s too much there. Then the empty water tank light will come up.
Hi, This is a quick trick, if this doesn’t work it could be a couple things, like new sensor or new heating element required. Have you cleaned out all the fluffs?
You Sir have just saved me a call out fee and repair charge. Annoyingly though my reset button was on the side of the heating element that I couldn’t get to properly so I had to try and unscrew that to get to it which was really awkward given the angle of it but I managed it in the end. Too man, cheers. 👍
Hello and thankyou for this video. I reset the thermostat and the dryer started working normally but I am just wandering what caused it go in the first place. I turned my dryer on with the heating element carefully removed and it heated up immediately but could smell burning. Would you replace the heating element to be on the safe side? Cheers
Hi, it needs a really good cleaning, but must be careful as heating element could damage easily. Remove all fluffy from inside and the burning smell should stop.
Listen mate, you just save me ! Thank you so much for posting this video ! Is there a reason why it happened? I'm wondering if it's because it was overloaded ? Could that be a factor? Either way it's working now .. cheers mate !
