      Trail Chasers totally!! Last year I gave up on this channel cuz I got sick of the bad audio in rooms with poor acoustics! I'm back!

    Big step up this year guys, thank you for dropping the over the top intros and getting right into the reviews. (Those intros were cool but when you watch all the reviews back to back they got annoying) Also as said before, great audio!

    I love my Yeti SB5.5 to death. I work at a bike shop that sells Specialized and Trek, and I still would take the Yeti over anything on the market. If anyone in the comments section is considering purchasing this bike, please do yourself a favor and do it. The price shouldn't scare you away from the bike because it is worth every cent. It climbs like a mountain goat and descends like a DH bike. It also takes one hell of a beating. Yeti till the day I day. This is one of the very few companies that I will proudly stand up for. I hope the Yeti wins!!

      Do you know how the Yeti compares to the Canyon Strive?

      @evanhasson6032 7 лет назад

      Seanpaulnz01 I was interested in the strive for a while but when i was in the market, the strive wasnt available in the US. i can promise you the yeti will be the best bike you ride if you give it a shot.

    A Magical Bike" The Unique Switch Infinity ' so balanced like an Eagle on the climbs the way it floats on the uphill, & then on the way down it just makes you feel like an "Ace jedi pilot" a truly amazing bike!!!!!!🎯

    I really like how you guys took this review back to real life by pointing out it's a $7000+ dollar bike. So many magazines and websites will give expensive bikes an absolutely shining review - but for that money it had better be pretty damn close to perfect! Probably 90% of riders are priced out of buying something like this. Bike does look great though and hopefully this level of ride quality will trickle down to more affordable bikes in a few years time.

    Bought the $4,700 standard carbon SB5.5c. Now I go down drops I used to walk. It seems so fast descending. Handles well but you have to man handle it a little in curvy sections. Climbs like a goat. I love this bike.

    We need to see angles of the bikes rather than angles of the people talking about them. Most if not all bike review videos do this, it's as if they don't see beauty in these high end mountain bikes. RUclips '2016 Santa Cruz Nomad' and other than the one which was put on RUclips for sale a few months ago there's hardly any with detailed footage. SHOW US THE BIKES!!

    so whats driving the costs of these bikes? r&d? branding? marketing magic?
    market forces? currency?
    7 grand will get me a kick ass motorcycle that will last 10 years
    dont get me wrong i love mountain biking
    but i picked up a breezer supercell pro from pricepoint before it went under for 1600.00 i have alot of fun on it.
    so the differnce between the two is small in general terms.
    5000.00 i just cant justify so i guess this is one of those things for rich kids or corp sponsors. look cool tho

      mjs1231 Good points. R&D for sure, high cost materials and also low quantities produced. Those are my two cents.

    4.5 seems better to me as an all rounder, at least in my area. Most rides are trail/xc, with downhill on special days. It seems like enough travel for dh, while being fast and nimble for xc, and all round fun for trail. I dunno.

    The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.

    Debating between this and the Evil Reckoning as my one bike quiver for a xc trip across the US. Both are so damn beautiful and capable. Seems like the 5.5C might have an edge for all day epics while the Evil would hold an edge on the steep fast descents... Anyone tried both?

    • @joepayne1213
      @joepayne1213 6 лет назад +1

      Go Wreckoning! I did and do not regret it. The 5.5 is a more thoroughbred race bike, but the Wreckoning was much more fun to ride. Bike is a monster. The Evil also has the flip chip to drop the BB and slacken the front end out to 65.5 degrees.
