This brings back memories... when my father bought a very expensive star-spangled van made (very badly) in Spain with a VR6 (VW) inside. What a curious mix... Nice vid' btw!
Nice, if you want a tons of space this is perfect but the engine power is a bit low for the car weight maybe if the engine had 180hp that would be better
You have to drive les powered versions to see the engine is "faster" and better to run but... of course she drinks a lot more than diesel engines. I'm not sure but I remember some V6 engine on W638🤔
I have w638 v230 and T4 VR6. yes, VR6 engine is more powerful for accelerating. Normal VR6 0-100 at 13.5 seconds, Normal v230 0-100 at around 16 seconds. But to be honest, v230 is more powerful at low RPM. It has a better torque then VR6 in my opinion. For suspension, w638 is more comfortable than T4. But both are a great car. For suspension, 90s germany van is more comfortable than 2020 Toyota alphard. Bravo german enginering.
Wow, I'm surprised on the torque. 6-cyl engine should have more than the 4 pot. Yes agree, I prefer W638 above T4 on suspension dynamics and also comfort.
@@testdrivehero VR6 2.8 has 140hp and 240nm V230 has 141hp and 210nm but low torque rpm always great on mercedes engine. I also have G300 with m103 engine, 170hp and 235nm has a really great torque
@@testdrivehero there is alot of version of VR6. if i remember correctly, VR6 on w638 has 172hp and 237nm. For T4 VR6 12 valves 140hp and 240nm. There is also T4 VR6 24 valves has 201hp and 245nm.

Oh wow, I just saw a couple T4 VR6 on my entire life!
Sounds tremendous and runs even better😎
I really like this van!
😎
Guapísima la furgo. Y muy disfrutable
Sus dueños han recorrido media Europa con ella!
First VClass MK1 petrol engine I saw😮
Very rare!
Faster than expected, but she likes to drink I'm sure😂
Hahaha she likes to drink a lot😂
I was expecting you test the diesel version, I never knew there's a 2.3 petrol engine on the Vclass!
@@victorgutierrez1388 Hahaha🤘🏻😎

Torque is what matters

Yes, torque is what really matters here :)
