Can i ask, is the body for saltiga 2020 8000 the same as the body for 10000 and 14000? I'm thinking of getting an 8000 size reel, then in the future get bigger spools.

Yes they are all same body. Can fit with 10k and 14k perfectly.

not trying to be mean but this is what happens when people think they need 30lbs of drag...after like 4 mins he's super exhausted. spend 1500 on a setup and let IT do the work for you not the other way around. if he set that drag down to like 10lbs he would have landed that fish in twice the time but hardly as fatigued so he could fish longer through out the day. I tell people who think they need 30lbs of drag...its like playing catch with a 30lb medicine ball...it might not be heavy the first few throws but you would be surprise how quickly fatigue settles in.

In Australia, especially if you’re fishing places like this with a reef or any other type of structure, you can’t let the fish run. If you do then they’ll likely break you off because of your line rubbing on the structure. If he had his drag down that low, he would easily been broken off but I understand what you are trying to say.
