Better let Oxford, Websters and Google know. Their definitions of the two words are very similar, if not reversed from these definitions. Also, the standing on the box metaphor ignores the fact that a whole lot of short people are given a box when they had no interest in watching the baseball in the first place, and doesn't represent real life issues in which there is a correlation between the outcome and interest levels of a group which is ignored when looking at outcomes. It's ridiculous to suggest that short people don't like baseball, but most would also not suggest that the lack of straight men in musical theatre or midwifery is due to inequality, but few account for those same cultural interest levels when advocating for equity of outcome in other areas.
Love this! Great interview!
Outstanding distinction. I'm going to share this with everyone in my circle! What good is information if you don't share it.
Great conversation
