June was nice enough to send me some TST stickers and a personalized thank you note after I wrote a Letter to the Editor in my local paper defending the After School Satan Club. Glad to see her on your show!
In Reno Nevada last year a Satanic priest said a satanic prayer at the Reno City Council meeting because the city council will not start the meeting without their prayer. It didn't go over well to say the least.. Hypocrisy 😂
When I used to train horses, I used to introduce new ideas to them slowly….like just getting them used to a blanket on their back for a while, before introducing a saddle. Or having the rider just step up on their back then get down, before they had a chance to react badly. So I was thinking, maybe you could start with an Easter bunny club, and then once that’s operating, move up to a Leprechaun club, then the Little Demon club, and finally the Satan club. Hahaha…..just goofing, sorry. Keep up the good work!
The question was raised decades ago, to the advocates of religious afterschool programs, among other issues with regards to religious displays and general freedom of expression. "What are you going to do when a religion or ideology you don't agree with decides to participate?" Well, here we are. I'm glad that a settlement was reached, though an official ruling by the judicial branch would have been better. This is a win in this particular case, but I'm concerned that the current iteration of SCOTUS will dismantle judicial precedent with regard to separation of church and state. I have this feeling the main reason they settled is because they realized this wasn't a good case to take up the ladder. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they were pressured into it by their own political `tribe,` so to speak.
There are terrible mean children. Do you remember childhood? Children are mean and judgmental. There are a lot of mean bullies or children that are just really misbehaved. Perhaps they meant that the boy was a bully that did not make any effort to learn?
It's an organization that prioritizes separation of church and state. The name is the point; people are so biased against it, they make hypocritical discriminatory decisions based on a name.
It's meant to be provocative. Almost all Satanists, at least the public ones, are really just secular humanists. The triggering is valuable. There are only two ways to constitutionally handle religion in the public square. One, you keep it out entirely, which is the cleaner solution. The second way is to allow things like displays of religion on public land, but you then have to allow it for everyone. What right wing Christians like to do is to try to dominate the space so only their religion is represented. So what Satanists do is say "fine, but we're putting up a statue of Bahophet". That's sort of the nuclear option. The Christians almost always back down at that point.
The picture at the 3:57 mark of the little children essentially groveling before their "Good News" teacher was really creepy. That seems like child abuse right there.
I belonged to a TST congregation. What a waste of time. More time was spent on policing people's language to not hurt everyone's very fragile feelings than anything else. The tenants 👍. The whiny members 👎 Don't waste your time with these crybabies.
I'm sorry to say this but Sammi Lawrence(if that's her name) really needs to lift her presentation style. Of the times I've seen her she comes across as *wooden,* having no personality at all. It becomes a chore to have to listen to her monotone-like moan. As I said, I'm sorry to say this but it needs to be said!

Many do the name is Yahweh ... his real name was Yaldaboath or Sakla he was an evil destructive vindictive god. Is it crazy l know all of his names yet l am an Anti-theist? Indeed it is.
Same here. I support the Satanic Temple, but wish they didn't use the word satan, because to most people satan means bad, even though there is no such thing as satan.
Percy Shelley, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon and Mikhail Bakunin all embraced the figure of Satan as a perfect symbol of resistance to oppressive regimes. I cringe at the thought of a cosmic bully that punishes intellectual inquiry with eternal torment. Maybe I should dress up at Yahweh as he’s the creepiest character in any story I’ve ever heard of.
Satanic Temple seems to espouse solid Humanist tenets. But if you're constantly having to explain that "no, we don't actually believe in Satan", you're wasting precious public attention trying to re-gain control of your own narrative. Why? To an outsider it just looks like an elaborate performance art, not primarily a sincere effort to instill good secular values. I understand the point you're trying to make- that if Christians, et. al. insist on access to public institutions, then all forms of religiosity, including historically despised ones, should have such access. But doesn't that mean your ostensible offensiveness is the point? So, you're trying to be disarming and performatively offensive at the same time...? Its a bit convoluted, to be honest.
No, it's genius. Christians back down from this performance art. They wouldn't do so for plain old humanists. The offensiveness works. Here's how it plays out 99% of the time: The right wing Christians will come up with a way to try to dominate the space. Like insisting on installing a huge cross or 10 Commandments display in a statehouse. Now they can do that, but under constitutional law, that opens the field for any other religion to put up something symbolic to them. So along come the Satanists who up the ante: They say "fine, you put up your thing, we'll install a statue of Baphomet". Now Baphomet is not Satan, and its origins have more to do with a mis-translation of Old French and a spurious accusation against the Knights Templar by a crooked king. But it looks scary and Satanic to the Christian imagination: A human goat head man with horns decorated with a pentagram and various occult symbols. When the Evangelicals learn that their actions will lead directly to the display of something Satan-like in appearance, they back down. Separation of church and state wins, theocracy loses. So far I don't think the Baphomet statue actually has ever had to leave its storage facility. Satanists antics are perfect. They are the nuclear deterrent of the anti-theocracy movement.
Delphic Oracle Temple club etc. Sunk cost among power and lobbying-(Gods chosen- we are worth saving and you have chosen not to be). Outcasting -outgrouping the kids/parents that participate. Private businesses with under 12 employees can usually discriminate against hiring parents or their children etc. This is the greatest way to employ Lawyers ever(by using a highly inflammatory name . Borrowing a biblical name for a group seems to serve lawyers best. Memorable- like a rash.
I would get a bunch of people and go into these businesses and tell whomever is there that since they are a zombie worshipping "Christian" business, we are going to do what it says in the bibble. It is written that god helps those who help themselves and we are going to help ourselves to your products and since it is also written that Jebus overturned the money changers tables, we will not give money for the products we take ! Just following what it says in your big book of Jewish fairy tales !!!!!
My soulution was to get the Hell out of public school and go get a real edumincation. You may have seen me floating up and down the Muddy Mississippi River with my black companion Jimbo.... Gday

Religion is an alternative to reality. If enough people play make believe, then make believe becomes reality.
No, it doesn't all that happens is the preachers. Get rich while the poor suffer immensely

Good idea for those who do not want Good News beliefs. --- many adults have had to recover from so called 'Good News".
The Fundamental Tenants are basically the same as humanist tenants.

How about Science club? That scares Christo-fascists as well.

All you have to do to make a Christian go completely nuts is ask what was the name of the god Jesus was praying to? They never can answer this
