The arrival of more than 100,000 migrants over the past year has become a crisis for the city's shelter system, schools and budget.
Now, the Angels have 5,000 members spread over 130 chapters in 13 countries, membership in New York City is about 350 from what i was told from my Guardian Angels connect.

The Guardian Angels have been a fixture in New York City since 1979, when Sliwa founded the group to patrol the streets and subways during the city's high-crime days. Curtis Sliwa is an American activist, radio talk show host, and founder and chief executive officer of the Guardian Angels, a nonprofit crime prevention organization.
