It’s well worth it and often less. I get lower than published rates usually.
You could fly to maldivies and have a similar experience (on water cottages) for 4 to 5 days, including airfare, all meals and for the same price of a SINGLE night stay (usd $2500) here!!

What do you mean? I have plenty of people who earn nowhere near that who save up for a wonderful vacation like this.
@@DrGariS I guess if someone is only going to French Polynesia for a week or less, they might as well go "all out". I suppose I'm lucky in that I have gone for longer periods and so I choose to spend less per day.
@@ubiquitousdiabolus most of my clients are Americans and they usually only got a couple of weeks off per year! There are a lot of properties on the main island as well that I book and I do get lower rates throughout. I personally do not know what I would do there for more than a week, but I do like the outer islands as well. :)
I’m not a fan of the bright colours in the room. How do you compare the mountain views at this resort vs Intercontinental Thalasso. I saw your Thalasso video and in that there was a pool with a STUNNING mountain view! 😍 Thanks in advance for your help
The Mountain View is nicer. The Thalasso has issues with service and food that are severe. The St Regis and Thalasso - NO COMPARISON. St Regis and Four Seasons are a true 5 star, not Thalasso

How deep is the water in this part of the lagoon? Are you also going to do a review of the Four Seasons Bora Bora?
It varies. If you stay further away it’s deep-Ish (about 11-15 feet). You can get a villa that you can touch the sand with feet or a villa on the beach
@@DrGariS How would you say the service in French Polynesia is compared to say Thailand, Bali etc? I usually travel to Asia for my tropical holidays and now have to look for an alternative as Asia is basically closed to tourism at the moment. Also considering the Maldives and the overwater villas at the St. Regis Maldives look bigger and much more modern.
@@yvr2002rtw In my opinion, it’s WAAAY better than Thailand. While Thailand is an awesome option for a more modest budget, Bora beats anywhere in Thailand, hands down. I’ve been to a few of the islands in the South of Thailand. It’s also cleaner here. Maldives has wonderful overwater villas but nothing compares to the variety of activities they offer in French Polynesia and also the other islands are awesome as well (not Tahiti so much) in my opinion. :)

Yes they do. I actually have a video of it on my channel. When we went the second time, we stayed at the 2 bedroom Royal overwater villa and it was awesome

Booked this for 12 days in October. If you’re a member there the prices are better.
Absolutely 100% wrong. Also what do you mean by having a membership? They don’t sell memberships.
I have contracted rates lower than anything published. Even if you think your rate is lower, my NET rates are always going to be lower.
Even if you book directly with the property, I can get it lower but you’ll also get the following:
1. Additional perks (if available) such as goodies sent to the room and early check in in/late check out
2. Price protection with my exclusive “value tracker” that check for lower rates daily, even after you’ve booked
3. I have direct contacts with management to get you the best butler,, location within your room type, etc etc etc.
4. I know the terrain. I have similarly good relationship with a ton of vendors there and can get you excellent treatment.
5. I can get BULK rates on air, which is generally cheaper than published fares.
There’s a lot more that I can bring to the table NO MATTER what, even if you’re already booked.
ENJOY YOUR TIME THERE - as you know, it’s beyond gorgeous. Four Seasons is lovely too and I do have amazing rates with them as well.

The Four Seasons is more contemporary and sometimes around the same rate. I do get lower than published rates though.
