I love how you shared the trials of an unfamiliar technique. So many content creators just make it look super easy and I know when I get around to trying it myself it will *not* go smoothly at first, so videos like yours help me feel less alone in the struggle! Also, you have gorgeous nails! Most men I know clip their nails right at the skin line and don’t file or anything. To prevent staining, always use a good base coat, and if the polish is really prone to staining you can also use a primer to protect your nails.
I love how honest you are about the process. I haven't tried it, but one of the other swatchers I follow uses the nail stamper to pick up the water marble design and transfers it to their nails that way.
I know it’s possible to watermarble the way that I tried, but I do want to try it with the stamper in the future. I’ve also gotten some more hacks from people to try out in the future when I try this again one day
Can confirm, using a stamper helps place the pattern well & is… maybe slightly helpful being a little less messy? I rarely feel like taking the time to water-marble 😅 but it’s the entire reason I keep liquid latex on hand (tbh, I don’t love HT’s protective peel - I have it and am using it up since I feel wasteful otherwise, but I used Simply Peel before that & it worked better for me, and next time I need to buy any it’ll be that or a body-paint formulation).
OMG, I loved this! I loved the honesty of it because this is how my new technique attempts go. 😂 I didn't know that I had to be careful about gluing my fingers together with liquid latex the first time I tried it. But I quickly found out! More videos like this please!
One of my best friends in college was someone I started talking with because they didn't had their book, they were out of stock and they ask me if they can follow the class with me. After that day we were inseparable! We don't see eachother so much now, but I we still talk from time to time 😊 Living in different cities makes it bard to see your friends 😅
Good to know about dropping in the thinner before polish placement. I tried it once, couldn’t get it to spread and the polishes I used weren’t as vibrant as I hoped. With seeing your attempt, one of these days I will also retry. Oh!.. There’s a person I’ve seen that does nail art and they apparently have a latex allergy, so they used petroleum which made cleanup easier (and cheaper). I’ve also seen someone that I believe solely water marbles on their channel and they use tape.
OMG Nic!! This made me laugh out loud, but I promise, I wasn't laughing at you! I was laughing because if I attempted to watermarble, I wouldn't do much better! I'm too scared to try because of how hard people say it is and I'm still over here trying to master the most basic nail art designs! I also like your hack for cheating at watermarbling; using the stamper tool and smooshing colors on your nails! It actually looks like marble unlike using water! Thank you for the chaotic video, even if it didn't go to plan!!!
I thought I was gonna learn water marbling 😂😂 maybe a redemption video later? love the nails before and after though, was still fun, it saves me from making the same mistakes
I'm nervous about using liquid latex because I think I have a latex allergy. I guess there's nothing else I could do to protect my skin, huh? Ps- this was so fun and hilarious ❤
Sorry to tell you this, but if anytime in the future you decide to do the trend "my followers pick my nailart" i am voting for watermarble. I don't h8 u. I am just here for the content
"Because it is a Trash Heap of Sadness" how did you know my true name?! 🤣🤣
The drop of nail polish thinner in the water was a great idea
Stumbled into your channel before morning coffee….now you’re stuck with me; I am never leaving.

This has inspired me to try again. The thinner idea was genius!

I've had some great successes with Water Marbling... but also some epic failures. I feel your pain. But keep trying, it's so fun!!
If you feel like doing this again, My Simple Little Pleasures is my favorite water marble guru. She's got a super calm voice and her tips are gold.

Love these! So BEARY awesome! 🤩
It’s really quite impressive that you did your index and pinky in one go.
And the thinner is a pro tip! Do I…… do I want to water marble?!?!
Love this video. Also love that you’ve let your nails grow out. They look fabulous 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟❤️!

you may be my new favorite channel
All that happened here with the water marbling is why I do drag marbles instead 😅😅😂😂😅😅😂😂
I saw people using tape to not have to clean theirs fingers 😅
I am loving this! 🤩

I’m collecting various suggestions of how I can improve with water marbling so maybe I’ll make another video attempting it again!
This is so cute!

Love the video ❤ A chill vibe and fun, even if the water marble was difficult to do 😅😂❤

I’ve gotten a lot of suggestions for how to try this again in the future, so one day when I am a brave boy, I will attempt water marbling again 🙃
Let's go 🎉

lololololol is my pain only entertainment to you!?!?!?!
Is your pinky okay? You didn’t sprain it from it carrying all the others?
But really, it wasn’t that bad, maybe something to try again in the future.
😂😂😂😂 this is so accurate
