Arrogance is a defence mechanism we show to hide our inferiority from the world.
Ego is the enemy
• Prevents u from learning
• Holds u back
• Makes us overreach
WHILE ASPIRING
Ego prevents us from learning entry level work as we think we know it all.
IN SUCCESS
Ego makes u:
• Complacent
• Entitled
• Overreach
• Illtreat others
IN FAILURE
• Holds us back
• Prevents us from asking for help or accepting it
• We refuse to learn
SOLUTIONS:
• Humility (learn entry level work)
• Adopt a beginners mindset (student)
• Focus on effort not the outcome
• Stop running after credit & recognition
• Don’t be deceived by recognition, money and success - stay sober.
• Let go of Control
• Place the purpose above u.
• When you find yourself in a hole - stop digging.
• Keep an INNER scorecard (just because u won't doesn't mean u deserved it)
• Paranoia creates things to be paranoid about. - Avoid it
• Stop playing the image game
• No one can degrade u if your effort is genuine and u have the right attitude.
